• I would like to start off by saying I am a huge fan of kitchenaid products, except their ovens. I paid extra for this oven as a warranty replacement for my KODE500ESS that had several problems that weren't able to be repaired. I had high hopes that this new oven would be packed with features and would not present the problems my previous kitchenaid oven had. I may never find out. This oven was installed monday. I fired it up and cooked some frozen beer battered fish without issue. It seemed to run a little cool after I opened to flip the fish but I increased the temp by 10 degrees and it came back up to temperature. I even baked a sheet of homemade chocolate chip cookies that I had leftover dough for in the freezer. They turned out perfect! Fast forward 48 hours. I go to turn on the oven and as it starts to preheat, it shuts off and throws two error codes: F8E1 & F6E4. I flipped the circuit breaker with hopes it would resolve the issue. I turned the oven on again, it starts to preheat and then shuts off with same errors. Kitchenaid is closed which is probably for the best because I am less than happy and it is totally not the fault of the customer service rep I will get. But you can't even imagine my frustration after struggling with my previous, new kitchenaid oven, having issues on thanksgiving and 2 dinner parties, 4+ repairs, and then my new warranty replacement dies 48 hours after being installed!?!!? I hope others have better luck! Each manufacturer has their niche. My dishwasher is and 48inch kitchenaid fridge are rock solid. I'll update my reviews after they repair and I can actually get some use out of this double oven.

• Horrible oven. In 9 months this has broken three times. each time it shuts down and says it can no longer be used. giving an error code of F6E4: UI/ACU. We have had Kitchenaid authorized repair company come to service it each time. They have replaced circuit boards and several parts. After the last visit the oven will no longer connect to our phone app and our serial number now shows as 12345678 for the oven. We like our Kitchen Aid small appliances but definitely NOT the oven. Steer clear of this

• The 1st unit I ordered did not work correctly, it would not bake at temp in the upper oven even after calibrating it 30 degrees higher, cookies would take 20 mins instead of 12, chicken would take 2 hours, so this was bad. Then the smart grill that I used a few times successfully and is a nice feature finally broke. Error code on the screen said it could not be used and to call for service. Instead I called Costco to complain and they offered to replace the unit with a new one which I got about a month later. I registered the new unit both online and in app and received an email to confirm my smart attachments (steamer and ceramic plate) on 1/29/20. After no further communication from Kitchenaid about the attachments, I called the number in the email. After being on hold for a while, they inform me that they cannot help me as there is a special team that handles smart appliances and redirects me (why was this not the number in the email!!!). This team I connect to and they confirm they see the request and will take care of fulfilling my attachments order. Well nothing since, so i go back online to Kitchenaid chat who tells me they cannot help and to call the smart appliances team. It is frustrating to not get resolution to something that is so simple and for the amount of money this wall oven costs, I expect better service.

• This oven was always shaky. The UI seemed buggy and constantly went off WiFi. Then 5 years, 2 months in, it died. Fixing it is a mess and while attempting to pull it from the wall, the door glass broke. The crazy thing is that the glass is GLUED to the door mechanism. So, if you want to replace the glass, you have to have a technician then glue it to the door. Craziest construction ever. I was told to not even try to start replacing control boards and the door glass as it would cost too much for this piece of junk. I just ordered a Wolf replacement cement. This is my last time purchasing Kitchen Aid — they are not built to last or be repaired.

• DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN. I purchased this oven directly from KitchenAid. The oven was installed by a KItchedAid subcontractor (JD Hunt). The oven hasn't worked since the moment it was installed. I was first told that it was a software problem by the installer and it just needs to update it's software. The software update was installed and the oven still doesn't work. We had a warranty service call last week. The oven needs 3 new parts and of course one of them is not in stock. So no oven for Thanksgiving and now no oven in my house for Christmas. Total lack of any meaningful customer service from KitchenAid. In fact just before Thanksgiving on the phone with KitchedAid customer service, I was told .. "Look on the bright side, you don't have to cook Thanksgiving dinner"..that's was the response from KitchenAid. They are unable to provide me with any timeline for the parts availability or any alternate resolution. Also is you want to talk with a manager or supervisor, they will only provide you a mailing address that you can send a letter to for any customer service help...

• I wrote a 600-700 word review, which just got wiped out when I tried to upload the photo, that somehow failed. I'm not writing it again. In short, the software crashing issues previous cited in earlier reviews still exist, the thing won't let you download any photos or recipes to it, the remote control app is terrible, and the sound levels are still too low. You can work around the crashing issue by not enabling the WiFi connection. Their email customer support is horrible. I would not recommend this oven until they fix the software; you can do better for the more than $4000 this costs. If someone at KitchenAid wants to put me in touch with their engineering team, I would be glad to lend my over 30 years' experience in the embedded systems development industry to point them towards some solutions. Otherwise, JUST FIX THE SOFTWARE.

• Registered this product three months ago and like the other reviewers didn't receive the other two attachments. Called the phone number that KitchenAid provided and of course that was not the correct number/department. I got spent an entire day getting shuffled to SEVEN different departments, with no help. Finally received the two attachments last week and the baking stone arrived broken. So had to go through the entire process again of calling and getting sent to FOUR different departments this time. Supposed to be on its way. I'm not holding my breath. This is the poorest customer service I have ever encountered.

• I have had these ovens since March 2020 and I love them! I cook and bake a lot so I am very picky. I like the roll out racks. I like the attachments that go inside. Grilling pan, Stone, steamer. So cool and work effortlessly. The electronic controls are bright and easy to learn. I like the optional Wifi features. My only complaint is the timer sound. It is not very loud so I usually have to set another one so I can hear it if I leave the kitchen while cooking. That isn’t a deal breaker for me- there are more wonderful aspects of this oven duo, but I wish I would have known before I purchased!

• The very first day I had the opportunity to use the oven I was unfortunate enough to get an error code telling me to call KitchenAid and giving me a phone number. The message told me that my product was no longer able to be used. I hit the circuit breaker and reset it. The oven now works. Oddly enough I am the unfortunate person to find out that every time I use both ovens with temperatures over 450° The oven fails. I called the phone number and scheduled for a service visit. KitchenAid tells me they should have a handle on getting replacement parts of my brand new oven in 3 to 5 months. The overall operation of the oven is pretty good. The actual ability to use the oven is pretty darn poor. Apparently they have the same issue with the non-smart double oven as well.The repair person pulled “a whole bunch of error codes “and that is why he has ordered multiple replacement parts for my “brand new “oven. Epic fail. I also would say my least favorite feature is that when the oven is warming up, it squeals like a car alarm. Run! Buy something else. I would show you a picture of the error message however it was while I was preparing a dinner for eight people and I freaked out and did not take a picture.

• My Smart Oven+30 was installed a little over a week ago. I haven't had the opportunity to test out the Steam Function or the Baking Stone, those are part of the system but they don't pack them with the Oven's they send those separately from KitchenAid once you register the Ovens. I can't wait to get them I cooked a steak with the Smart Grill, so easy, the steak was perfect!!! The cooking instructions that are included for some of the basics for the Oven are great. I signed up for Yum which with this Oven is an incredible app, I highly recommend it. It give you the recipes, prepares a grocery list for you and you can adjust the items you already have in your pantry. I love that I can add recipes to the Oven feature so that I don't have to go looking for recipes I just pull them up on the Oven screen!

• I abhor this excessively expensive upgrade we made to our kitchen. We planned for it, saved for it, altered our space for it to fit the double, and were SO EXCITED when we got it. Aesthetically - it's gorgeous. Functionally - DO NOT BUY. I repeat, DO NOT BUY if you bake or cook pizzas at 400. It will blow its little safety fuse and kill the functionality EVERY SINGLE TIME. The whole unit will die until the fuse is replaced. KitchenAid will not help you if you call them. (The convection fan will also make a noise after a couple years of use.) This is a garbage appliance (beautiful as it may look) at a premium price. STAY AWAY! WE REGRET IT AND CURSE IT MONTHLY - as that's about how often it's little fuse blows and the whole unit has to come out of the wall to be replaced. We HATE it.

• I bought this less than two years ago. We had a kitchen aid pre 2020 model that was a crappy but amazing oven. It worked. Was consistent and good temp. So we got this instead of a better end brand. And it has been the absolute worst. It never held heat great so I had to buy a thermometer. Then about 6 months ago we have been getting two different error messages which makes the oven the forever to hold on and does not keep the temperature. Well it’s going to be able 1000 to fix. So we are looking into a new oven. Definitely will not be kitchen aid after we found out things changed in 2020 with the company. Wish I had known. Would not buy!

• We bought this 3 months ago and had problems from the beginning. They sent a tech out to calibrated it and it is better but still takes a bit longer than normal to cook things. Our biggest complaint is the timer is impossible to hear if you are cooking something else and have the fan on or are sautéing, have kids yelling or have anything else going on where your attention is not 100% on the oven. We've burnt many batches of cookies & muffins because of this. For this price point you should have a dang timer that you can hear. It is turned up all the way I might add.

• I was waiting to give my review because I really wanted to like this oven. My first oven couldn't recognize the powered attachments. 3 service calls later our repairman said there's nothing more he could do and needed to have a video chat with KitchenAid showing and explaining the problem, & having their engineers get back to him. (The only way my powered attachments were recognized was when the repairman held the attachment up at a 15 degree angle). Obviously that's a PROBLEM. KitchenAid deemed my oven broken and approved a product replacement. The REPLACEMENT OVEN DOESN'T WORK!!!!!! Different problem, now my oven just sends out an error code saying to call KitchenAid. Neither oven will turn on. At least my first oven worked except for the attachments. Now I don't have a working oven at all. Spending almost 5K on an oven I expected so much more.

• We both that oven in Best buy Dec 10th 2020 and since than we can't use it because of an error with the control board. We have been waiting for repair or replacement for over 8 mounts. I am so disappointed of the customer service from whirlpool They told me 3 days ago that they will contact me with solution in the next 2 days and I am still waiting. I think this is unexpectable. When you pay over $4000 for oven you expect the best product out there

• Kitchenaid has the worst warranty and service I have ever delt with. We purchased this oven new in 2024. The top oven made a a loud rattling noise once it heated to temperature. I scheduled service under warranty 5 times and they never fixed the issue. I kept calling back after every attemp to fix until I was out of warranty. Once out of warranty they are now trying to charge me for service for a problem that was never fixed while the oven was under warranty. I will never purchase another Kitchenaid product again.

• Oven was registered 2 months ago and the smart oven+Steamer and baking stone have never been received after registration. After spending over 4 hours on the phone being referenced to different phone numbers to call and then being referenced back (to one I had already talked to) I was elevated to a manager - customer care person. That person tried to help me for over another 60 minutes and then couldn't and tried to transfer me to the whirlpool specialty department that was now closed. Of course I lost her when she transferred me and that number was now closed for the day. Guess I will try to call again tomorrow and hopefully get someone that knows how to resolve this. Without the attachments this oven is not worth the purchase price. This KitchenAid experience post purchase has been very disappointing.

• I have had this oven installed about a month and absolutely love it! The extra burner pan inside is wonderful for grilling indoors on those rainy days, and the ceramic cooking sheet is wonderful to use with the extra heat source, to crisp up things like pizza and roasted potatoes or heating bread and cookies--applies the heat right where it is needed! And on top of all the wonderful features, it is a beautiful oven!

• Fantastic oven. we absolutely love it. The ability to set the temperature on my way home from the store is a great time saver. I wish there was an internal cam so I could see my food cooking.

• My Smart ovens are amazing. I got the app and set up the remote feature. The ovens are very different than what I was use to. Once I learned the functions, it has been so easy to operate.

• Our oven died just a couple weeks before Thanksgiving. We are so happy that it did. This new oven is easy to operate and was an MVP of the Thanksgiving feast. This is a great oven.

• I purchased this oven in October. The oven is great.....the time is worthless. Even if you are in a totally quiet kitchen you cannot hear the timer and I have it turned up to the max. A lot of money to spend on an oven only to go out have have to buy a timer which works. I moved and had to replace the oven in my current home. I would give anything to have my old KitchenAid oven back. I would give this a much higher rating except for the timer. Come on KitchenAid...if you use an oven you need a functioning timer. Maybe you should let a baker test your products.
