I love the capacity and 2 baskets as well as the shelve with a divider which keeps food from falling off the shelve. I also love the light which tells me if the freezer is cold enough

After the initial freezer was damaged in delivery, The replacement freezer is working great so far.

This is the perfect replacement for our old upright freezer that we have in our garage. The fact that it can convert to just refrigerate is the reason I bought two of them. We can have two freezers if needed or one freezer and a backup refrigerator. Its so quiet when running, it' just what we needed.

I'm happy with it, it's large and more than enough for a family.

I like the freezer. Have not had it long. It cools fast a quiet. It is just what we needed.
Mortamer06/01/2025 07:37 AM
I purchased to replace a 7 year old (other brand) upright freezer with a bad compressor. I was hoping to replace with another upright with manual defrost but they are scarce. However, so far, so good and I'm even liking the ability to see more items in the chest freezer. The two sliding baskets along with the side shelf really help organize the food. Took a day to fully cool but now stays a chilly -10 and is working perfectly in the garage.

It’s so big!! It runs so quietly. It’s efficient. I plan to get rid of my older one because this one is so spacious.

Love it! Runs quiet, locks, lid stays up when open, automatic light. Love the refrigerator option although I haven’t used that option, I know it’s possible.

Bought 16 cu chest freezer 2/28/25. Runs fine and am very pleased with it. Found it that it was made in Italy? I thought Maytag’s were made in USA. Only negative is that when unwrapping freezer I noticed the drain plug cover was broken. It is made of cheap plastic. And still waiting for a new one from store I bought it from.

We are Maytag people. Quality and longevity of their appliances is ahead of the pack. So, when it came to choosing a new freezer, Maytag was a no-brainer. Even if it was a bit smaller than we would have wanted, the options and the build won us over. We will probably buy a second one next year!

Bought this freezer through inside pass. Delivered right on time. It’s surprisingly light weight. Mi wife and I were able to lift it up to place in our storage room. It got down to temperature quickly and so far is working great. I do wish it had come with another basket or even two. Otherwise, we love it.

We need some extra freezer space. This freezer is the perfect size and addition to our needs. We now can buy frozen products in bulk. Plenty of space to store items.

Had for a couple of months and so far, so good. We hope for a reliable freezer for many years to come.
Bruce 76512/17/2023 11:42 PM
Has been in place for a couple of months and works great.. The only thing that is not too handy is if you get in the freezer and then try to re-open it. It has a strong suction on it that you can't pull open. It is a good sign that it has a great seal, so you have to wait a couple of min. before you can get it open.

Looks and works great. It runs quite and is lightweight.
