  • This is a compact unit and fits well into a small space. The washer did an excellent job getting items cleaned and the dryer works very well. The only drawback - we are using this in our AirBNB. Guests tend to destroy the lint filter in the dryer, requiring us to replace the filter often. I wish the filter could be sturdier and more difficult to break. Also, the washer has a lint filter and we have already seen problems with guests figuring out how to remove, clean, and replace it. Of course, if we were the only ones using the unit, the lint filter issue would not be a problem. Otherwise, it's a very good unit. I like the 'auto-fill' feature of the washer. It's a good-looking unit.

  • Drier does not completely dry clothes in 1 cycle. I need to run the cycle twice to get things dry. This includes using the 60 minute timed cycle. The temperature settings on the washer are vague descriptions of what the wash cycle temperature actually is, so I’m left guessing.

  • When I went to do the first dryer load the dryer wouldn’t turn on. After Pressing the button several times it finally turned on. And the next couple of times of using the dryer it did the same thing. The issue stopped for now and is working, but I am sure this is not the end of this issue. This machine is cheaply made and is EXTREMELY noisy. I’ve never heard a machine so loud. When the dryer is running, it sounds like somebody left the water running in the sink. It does wash good you have to run the dryer twice for the clothes to be dry.

  • Bought Jan 22, 2024 from Lowes in Upland, Ca. Difficulties with delivery, they took it back was delivered on Jan 24. It is louder than my old one, it sounds like the motor is struggling or rubbing on something. The clothes are clean, takes forever to dry. I tried to talk to Lowes to return it. They said their return policy is 48 hours. This machine should have been 220 but it isn’t. I paid $1499 and am not very happy.

  • Purchased this machine Jan. 2019. Big mistake! I'm a single adult, so I do 2, maybe 3 loads a week. Using proper laundry detergent; do not overload machine, etc. The fabric softener dispenser is clogged and since the lid locks on spin cycles, I can no longer use fabric softener. Pump on spin cycles is very loud. I live in an apartment and my neighbors can hear it. (No, the walls are not thin!) There is no buzzer on dryer to alert you when cycle is done. I should have kept my old stack Whirlpool and had it repaired.

  • I've had it about a month now and i like it. For a single male or maybe two person household it is nearly perfect. Load size is a little small so it take an extra load to get the same amount done also it takes a little longer to get my clothes as dry as i like. Overall though i find it suit my needs very well and i'm very happy with my purchase.

  • I cannot give this any star. I bought this in April 2023 to replace a whirlpool stackable unit. It is was the only stackable unit available. It does small loads. It does not fill up with water to the top under the normal setting, but if you select the heavy setting it does. The lint filter is in the back of the dryer, instead of the front, I am 5’3”, and have to stretch to reach it. The lint filter is HORRIBLE!!!! Seriously, who engineered this machine???? I have to vacuum it out often, the vent has to be cleaned more often than before. I am seriously disappointed in this unit. I would not recommend purchasing this. The venting is horrible. Additionally, the washer drum gets clogged up with coins easily, to remove them takes 2 sets of pliers, hard to do, and if you have kids, forget it!!! You cannot stay caught up on laundry. Worse appliance ever. I was replacing a year 2000 or maybe late 1990s version of whirlpool stackable unit, wished I had paid the $500 to fix it. Fire the engineer who built this machine, go back to the 1999-2000’s model.

  • Not too excited because was damaged by delivers that installed

    Annbelle01/22/2019 03:15 AM

  • I purchased the washer dryer stack unit recently and it has been used once with 4 towels. The towels do not dry after 2 1/2 hours. The whirlpool authorized repair people came 2- times to diagnose the problem. First repair person said it was exhaust duct blockage. I had the duct professionally cleaned and still the dryer did not dry. Second repair person said that the electrical outlet at 110 Volts was not installed properly then, corrected himself ,when he re-tested the outlet and it did have the proper voltage . He informed me that the heating element did work properly for this machine but, the 110 Volt unit is not powerful enough to dry the towels and a 220 Volt dryer is best. Please note, that I replaced the existing 220 Volt power outlet to use this machine and that had good review ratings. Unless the dryer is "defective or damaged" Whirlpool will not replace the unit . The repair people refuse to determine that the dyer is defective , even though I asked them to dry a few towels and see for themselves if it is functional. The refused to do this and left. This only leaves me with negotiating with the Vendor of the machine. Clearly, there is a Whirlpool quality issue and money and time has been wasted on a dryer that does not dry.

  • I bought this washer and dryer during a kitchen remodel. My small ranch only would allow me enough space for this stackable, or loose a lot of space in the kitchen. I’ve used it to wash several loads. I’d say it’s good enough for a single person or a couple. To the people that say it doesn’t dry. Please be sure to wire it to a dedicated 20 amp circuit and also ensure it’s properly vented. My experience is that it drys perfectly fine when attached to 20 amps and not 15 amps.

  • When I bought this, I assumed it would be easy to figure out. The books and instructions that came with it seem to refer to a different machine, and customer service is non-existent. When I tried to make an appointment for someone to explain 2 little things to me, there was no appointment available for months. I was unable to reach anyone on the phone after 6 calls and waits in excess of 20 minutes. The Chat Assistant was unable to help me unless something wasn't working. I used what I thought was an email, but there's been no response. I can't find another email address to use to ask just 2 little questions. So I'm using it as best I can and am doing things differently until someday, I can figure out these two issues. I'm sure the washer and dryer are fine, but with no customer service, I'd never again recommend Whirlpool. Thanks for asking.

  • New machine does not dispense sufficient hot water for the "HOT WASH" cycle! This week, a service technician checked the machine and said "it is doing exactly what it is supposed to do because it is a "VERY EFFICIENT ENERGY SAVER and WATER SAVER". The water temperature is COLD!! He's got to be kidding! What will WHIRLPOOL do to provide a product that meets the functional specifications!

  • I bought this small washer/dryer a new B&B addition to my home. I am attempting to provide "at home" amenities for my guests to afford them total privacy. This unit fit perfectly in the small space I had available. I tested the machine by washing a small load of my own clothes. The machine runs quietly. My cloths came out beautifully on a very short wash cycle. I like the energy saving feature of reducing the hot water temp to save energy. I think I will be happy with this product.

    Tiger08/13/2022 12:56 PM

  • It is smaller than I expected. It cleans and dries just fine. My only complaint is the latch that closes the drier door is so flimsily made, that I can see it breaking off one day in the near future. If I ever have to replace it, I will spend the extra two hundred dollars or so to get a larger, more sophisticated model.

    Bethielaroue04/16/2018 03:15 AM

  • It takes a super long time to dry anything like towels etc. 2 towels, 2 hand towels and 1 wash cloth took over 2 hours to dry. I’m aware that it is a small unit but that’s ridiculous.

    Debspups 101/26/2020 12:19 PM

  • washer wouldn't turn on, called for service, was told 5-6- weeks for part to arrive

    Unhappy Also10/07/2018 03:46 AM

  • So far so good, it's quieter than some people have mentioned, at least to us. It fits perfectly in our laundry area and good enough for two adults

    Merc06/04/2024 09:26 PM

  • I have had this Stacked Laundry Center for a couple months now and I love it. It's perfect for the small space I have. It is a little noisy during the water drain cycle but it's perfect! I love the wrinkle shield feature. Fluffs the clothes removing wrinkles.

    Lei R08/20/2018 03:53 PM

  • I bought this after my Maytag “died”. So far, it works fine except for the dryer on the auto mode. If too many items are in the dryer drum-even if they fit, they do not dry well. When it is on the timed mode on the dryer, the clothes and items will dry well. The stack is very easy to use it is a little noisy but overall a 4 out of 5. I like that it’s not as big as the other one I had but I can’t wash super big quilts anymore. Not a huge deal.

    Shinyoctopusdisco07/21/2022 11:01 AM

  • I bought this set about 2 years ago. The other day my partner dried his clothes before he left for work since they didn’t dry completely the night before. I went into the laundry room and the door was open and the dryer was off. It felt like someone turned the heat up because my laundry room was warmer than usual. I approached the unit to get my clothes from the dryer and it was hot to the touch despite being turned off for over 4 hours. I’m thankful the door was open to allow the heat to escape. I have no idea where to begin to fix this issue. I have NEVER heard of this happening. I take care of my appliances and expect a $1,600 unit to last longer than 2 years. This is not okay!

    peapod11/26/2022 05:12 PM

  • I am very please with this laundry center so far. My previous unit had a gas dryer and did dry towels faster but this does the job eventually. I needed 120 volt unit so this works very well. Small and compact, I like the washer display. Fits more laundry than it initially appeared it would. Excellent for one or two person household.

    Kevin08/22/2022 02:53 AM

  • The washer does a horrible job. It’s so small that I have to separate a normal size load of laundry into 2 or 3 washes to get a mediocre at best clean. What makes it even worse, is the fact that the items I wash, are lightly soiled. Trying to get it to wash towels properly, is a joke. I would wash 2 towels max at a time and even that was pushing it. I now have resorted to paying my friend to use their washer to wash any towels. Yes, I put the right amount of HE detergent and properly load the machine. It’s horrible. The dryer is okay. I can live with it. It should be noted, however, that I dry very few items. The majority of my clothing and bedding I hang dry. Also, the amount of noise that comes from this thing is offensive. No, seriously, it’s offensive.. I live in a duplex and my neighbors apparently here it the entire time. I now can only use the item between the hours of 9:00 am and 9:00 pm.. cool

    Britjustwantscleanclothes02/13/2022 01:33 PM

  • Can’t wait to replace!! Whose bright idea was it to put the lint trap in the back of the machine. Every time you clean it, dust and dirt falls into the drum and you end up having to clean the drum before you put in your now clean clothes. DO NOt BUY

    AlfLaf7709/03/2025 06:28 AM

  • Ok but the noise level of the drain mechanism is very loud……also drying unusually takes 2 cycles
