• After I owned the appliance for only 2.5 years, I noticed that the food in the refrigerator started to freeze. Then, I noticed that the refrigerator would run for about 10-12 hours straight, then it would stay off for another 8-10 hours, so my food was either too warm or too cold. The repairman told me that the controller board was broken and it would cost $400 to fix. That is more than half of what I paid for the refrigerator! I am very disappointed in how expensive this part is. I now have the refrigerator on a timer to cycle it on and off and it is working as a temporary solution until I can figure out what refrigerator to buy next.

• I Purchased this refrigerator that it when it was brought into my house both the freezer door door and refrigerator door were damaged. I bought it from Mannys in Greenfield. They have ordered me two more doors. I’m waiting for a call from them to get these doors replaced. In the meanwhile. Is her keeps getting frost up? In the bottom refrigerator. Where the cold air comes out. Keeps dripping water. I called Mannys back and was told. It could be just from the doors not being right. And when the new doors come and get replaced this shouldn’t happen anymore. I’m hoping this can all get settled soon. I am still waiting to hear. About the doors, and when they will be here and be replaced. It’s been a little hard because when you buy a new appliance and spent over 1000 you hope it’s OK. Unfortunately that hasn’t been the experience for.me I hope it will be soon

• I bought my frig at the end of October and the gasket on the frig door did not and still does not seal completely. The repair guy came out with a new gasket but was not able to put it on. The area where it was not sealing originally was the same area where he was not able to install the new gasket. So he had to put the old one back on and it does not completely seal up. He stated because of the lack of a complete seal I will have ice build up in my freezer compartment and it can take up to six months for a new door. So it run for long periods of time and continues to make noises after the fan turns off before becoming silent and ice build up in the freezer.

• Bought July 2017 and in Dec. 2018 the fridge starting freezing food. Per my tech this is happening to other fridges but Whirlpool has not published a bulletin on how to fix the issue. My tech replaced the refrigerator diffuse & thermistor sensor. This fixed the fridge from freezing but then the freezer will no longer freeze ice cream & popsicles. Buying a new fridge this weekend as I've already spent over a 1/3 of what the frig cost on repairs. This fridge has been around for decades and use to be very reliable. Since it is trial & error to determine the repair, it is costly and I would not recommend purchasing model WRT519SZDM.

• My refrigerator was delivered approximately 2 1/2 weeks ago and I am very disappointed. This was a special order and I waited awhile for it. The freezer section has ice forming on the front . I lowered the setting to low but it was at suggested level when I received it. This should not be happening. I think the door doesn't either fit properly or wasn't set up properly, I hope that it isn't with the motor. I will be contacting PC Richards on Tuesday. and request a service call and not at my expense. i have all Whirlpool appliances and never had a problem before. I tried to contact you but mail was declined, I think I deserve better service than this.

• Our previous Kenmore ref. was 23 yrs old be for it died. It ran so quiet always. This new whirlpool whines,moans and carries on something terrible. When we have company it is embarrassing how loud it is. When they hear it they say (it sounds like your ref. is going out) and we tell them,no it's brand new and they want to know what brand it is and where we bought it. We have never been so disappointed with anything we have ever purchased in our lives and are embarrass to even have it in our home. In this day and age of modern technology NO ref. should make noise and carry on like this one does. We are very unhappy and disappointed with it.

• Bought this in February it's now May. Started with freezer not freezing, it's under warranty, scheduled appointments 3 times. 1st time the tech told me it was "because I had to much food in the freezer and there was no air flow"..... food was 1" away from the back of the freezer on a shelf that doesn't go all the way to the back..... 2nd time was 9 days ago... same tech now tells me there is something wrong.... it's loosing Freon..... 3rd time today.... they tell me its a not repairable and a new one is needed. I have been without a refrigerator for 10 days now and no one can tell me when a replacement will be delivered all's I get it I'm sorry for your inconvenience.

• Really like the new frige except for two things: The shelves in the freezer door are so narrow, it really limits what you can store there. Smaller items fall through the space. No reason for the shelves to be that narrow. Also, the utility shelf at the top of the refrigerator door (with the flip up cover) has a little half moon bump out, which seems to serve no purpose except to get in the way and again, limit the amount/type of items to store there.

• First off, we like the refrigerator overall. It works great and the interior layout is really functional. Here's the problems- install was a pain with lack of clear instructions. The biggest issue is the leveling. The refrigerator leans back by at least 1/2". The leveling mechanism doesn't work at all- the feet don't extend far enough to even touch the floor. If they did, it would only make it lean back worse. I suspect that they put on the incorrect wheels/leveling feet due to part shortages or something. The instructions didn't describe how to level or show any pictures. I ended up using wood blocking to get it leveled. The other minor detractor is that the door handle attachment hole doesn't have a plug so there is an unfinished hole exposed. A little plastic plug would have finished it nicely.

• I bought the identical refrigerator 21 months (yes! Months!) earlier and it got a freon leak within the sealed portion of the appliance. The service man told me I needed to replace the appliance and I did. For nearly $1000. Since then I have heard about the same thing happening to other Whirlpool refrigerators that were less than 2 years old. The freezer temperature in my new refrigerator fluctuates from 0 degrees F to 17 degrees F. The seals on the doors seem to let in air and moisture. I am not confident that this one will last. I called Whirlpool about my concerns and was told that if a serviceman comes out and doesn't find a problem, I will be charged for the visit. I find this unsettling.

• I’m very disappointed in this purchase. The gasket didn’t fit right on the freezer or fridge, freezer worse than fridge. Temperatures fluctuated, ice formed on roof of freezer. Parts not available. I was told could not be overnighted. Would take at least a week to get parts. Lost food. Replacement refrigerator not available until May 31St??!!

• I had to purchase a refrigerator. Needed this size quickly. Should have waited. Some things in the back freeze and items in the front don't seem cold enough. Freezer door storage area a joke. Things drop threw all the time. I haven't really figured out what that door storage area was designed for, super large cans of something that you freeze? Installation horrible or design I don't know, freezer door on crooked, looks horrible. Kept this since last fridge went out before thanksgiving, but will get rid of this asap. Never buy again.

• My old refrigerator (16 yrs old?) much better quality. Set new one on coldest setting, but it took 2 wks to cool down to midrange temp. Was at the top of acceptable temperature. Fan noise intermittent. I’ m trying to record so when I call for repair they will have an idea what to look for. Refrigerator door self closes, but the freezer does not. My old one did. I changed the door handle, now every time I reach in I turn off the light with my arm! Film was difficult to get off, still have small pieces around the edges stuck between the framing. Plastic on door shelves seems cheap. The only positives are the glass shelves in the freezer and above the refrigerator crisper drawers. So disappointing.

• Well, I have only one problem with this refrigerator....why did they skimp on the freezer door food shelves? There is a space big enough for some of the frozen food to fall through. It makes no sense why this wasn't completely closed.

• I bought the refrigerator during Black Friday at a great price. Delivery was a fiasco, didn’t arrive until 10pm but the guys were polite. The refrigerator still has bits of plastic around the edges and I do not know how to remove. There are white marks on both sides of the refrigerator that I have not been able to remove. I’m very happy with the refrigerator but not with appearance.

• I got rid of a side-by-side fridge that was a poor storage configuration. Got the Whirlpool old fashioned fridge to go back to normal appliance. I need to call the Geek Squad to have them check the fridge - it's making various noises that don't sound like a newer appliance. (The old side-by-side fridge is Much quieter than the new one). Also the device that turns off and on the fridge light is rubbing against the clear door storage so that it makes a sound and is wearing on the clear plastic door storage.I would write a much better review if Geek Squad takes care of my issues.Number of people in my household is only 1. Not 1-2. I Know I am the only person living here, I'm not unsure.

• After three years our kitchenaid, of the same size and similar design, went out which is unfortunate and we were grateful to get this whirlpool one because the interior design is better for our family. The only slight issue with the design for us are the slits in the freezer door pockets are unfortunate. Also wish it was easier to know the ice maker attachment that is designed for it - Best Buy was unable to figure out a corresponding ice maker. Additionally, the temperature adjustments within the refrigerator make significant differences - almost too effective. Overall we love the fridge and it’s a better design for us, hopefully it’ll last longer than three years ;)

I tried to reach out about thiis got no response The seal seems like it's coming off it's not properly attached at the top of the doors I'm both the fridge and the freezer there is a Dent in the in the middle of the freezer door I have condensation and moisture in there icicles

• This is a nice refrigerator and a perfect size for my needs. I have owned Whirlpool appliances in the past and have been very pleased, I hope this one will be as good. It is a little noisy while running. I love the storage in the door except that it makes the shelves positioned farther back into the fridge. I have bumped my head on the freezer several times when standing up because of this. The shelves don't slide out so you must reach in to get items. The vegetable/fruit drawers are a bit small but are ok for me. They would not be big enough if they were storing for 3-4 people. The freezer is fine and provides easy access to frozen foods.

• Bought 10/8/19, delivered11/7/19. Very loud and gurgles all the time. Can be heard over TV in room 25 feet away. Left side door gap between fridge and freezer is 3/8 inch. Right side gap is 1 1/8 inch. Handles out of line by 3/8 inch. Installer said nothing could be done because holes were predrilled.

• I like this refrigerator's LED interior lighting and I like the glass shelves. My old refrigerator had wire shelves and bottles would always fall over. I like the many storage compartments in the door. One thing I do not like is the top freezer, with its glass shelf, makes it impossible to to quick chill tall wine bottles or other tall bottles. The bottles must be laid down to chill. Another thing I do not like is the bottom veggie and fruit bins are too small. The veggie bin will not accommodate long English cucumbers. I do like the fact that I could still find this refrigerator in the bisque color to match my other kitchen appliances.

• We bought this about a month ago for a vacation home at the beach in Delaware as part of a small kitchen renovation. We have only been there twice (once was when it was delivered), but are pretty much pleased with the refrigerator. We especially like the LED interior light, but do wish it had a light in the freezer section (the refrigerator it replaced had one). Also, there is an inconsistent, irritating vibration that we have been unable to figure out. The appearance is very nice. We were concerned about fingerprints with the smooth front, but a trip with our grandchildren showed we needn't worry about that. Overall, very pleased.
