I first purchased this dryer in the middle of August. It was supposed to be delivered by the end of the month. Whirlpool said there was a back up and it wasn’t delivered until a month later when the dryer was delivered the door wouldn’t close it was sent back to Home Depot And I ordered another dryer which was supposed to be delivered the middle of August. It wasn’t delivered until the 29th because Whirlpool again delayed delivery when it was delivered. The door didn’t close properly it wasn’t aligned I was about to send it back but then asked for a repair to be done on the dryer , I’m still waiting for a new hinges for the door. The dryer seems to work very well. The door is still difficult to close and the filter is all the way at the back of the drum which means I have to sit down in order to reach it in order to clean it. I’m still waiting on the repair man and the new hinges.

I have had the dryer about 2 months, and I am very happy with its performance. For a 120w dryer, it dries clothes much quicker than I expected, as compared to the older one replaced. It's easy to operate, has very good capacity and performs as advertised. I would have scored it a 5, but for one negative. If it had been possible, I would have scored it 4.5. The negative is it looks cheap and to close the door for operation, you have to hit the upper corner to get the door "locked" in place. This also makes for a bit of a chore in opening it. It's good for the latch to be tight, but it shouldn't require a hit to close and hard tug to open.

This Whirlpool was my second purchase of a compact dryer. Unfortunately, I didn't buy a Whirlpool in the first place, and it didn't last more than a year. This dryer is perfect for a small living area or a 5th wheel, as in our case. This dryer heats up nicely and dries clothes very nicely. Of course, like all compacts, it may take a little longer and you may only be able to dry fewer pieces at a time, but it works like a champ. The lint trap is located in the back of the unit and not in the front. This makes it easier for me to make sure there is no lint build up. I sure wish we would have purchased this one at the start. I wouldn't trade it for anything and I am very happy with my purchase.

I got it a couple of months ago and it seemed a bit simple in the way it looked as compared to my previous whirpool dryer but it works great! The buzzer is a bit coarse but no big deal.

This stackable dryer was a welcome inclusion in our new 2017 RV, and the fact it was a Whirlpool was a bonus! Due to the fact it is in our "home away from home" we have had limited time to use it. As it is a Whirlpool we are confident in its dependability and the design works well for the space available. It's small capacity limits the amount of clothes that can be dried at any one time. Sometimes it's necessary to split the washed clothes into 2 dryer loads but that is to be expected due to it's size. Overall, we are pleased with this appliance.

Bought but had to go back as it had issues with door closing and hard to open. Handle lose will break soon . Door issue is the hinges which got past quality control as not install to make door square in place so is very hard to open and close. Repair came and only adjusted 1 hinge and door some better can close and open but gap at bottom so heat is escaping out bring a higher electric bill for me. Needs reinstall of new both hinges to be right. Can't tell a repairman as they know it all. Not well made. Cheap tin like metal. Not like the one removed from here a 20 yr old model that sounded sturdy and not like a tin can sound.

I purchased the compact Whirlpool Dryer when a standard size dryer would not fit down my cellar stairs. My house was built in the 1930’s and doorways and stairwells are narrow. I have been using the compact dryer for about a month. It is smaller capacity but dries the smaller load very well. I find using the 90 min or more “time dry” option works better then using the Normal setting. I would agree with others that the door requires a very strong pull to open it and because my drier is not stacked reaching inside to pull out the lint basket for cleaning requires me to squat or bend way over to pull or reinsert the lint basket but I have mastered the technique So far I am happy with this dryer.

I live in a condo, and the ability to get a 120 volt dryer in to a small closet was a must. This unit is efficient, and though I was concerned about 120 volt drying versus a standard dryer, Whirlpool did a great job with this product. Clothes come out dry, and I never have to run the dryer twice to re-dry clothing. I would recommend this product for anyone who lives in a condo or apartment that cannot fit a standard dryer in to their laundry area, but more importantly, this unit is large enough to handle all of the needs of my household.

Perfect for my needs. Saves me trips to the Laundromat. The dryer has wheels which is very desirable. This dryer is vented out a window using VentWorks. I would recommend this dryer.

I love my dryer...I spent 10 years hanging things up (which was fine). Things changed and I needed a dryer. I wanted a smaller one but without all the bells and whistles and with a regular drum. I finally found one in Whirlpool. It is almost perfect. I would tone down the buzzer sound though. Every time it goes off it scares me but it would be great in a basement (I don't have one of them). The other thing is it was pretty expensive ($827)but I did get what would fit in my space with a perfect size drum.

Came in our new fifth wheel. I don’t know yet if balancing can be fixed, but definitely needs it. Doesn’t always seem to spin out well, I guess 4 pairs of jeans is too much for it. Definitely for small loads. Don’t understand why it takes 55 min for a regular cycle, 1 hour 20 min i think it is, for heavy duty. Talk about off balance when you use those cycles. It’s nice to have so you don’t have to go to the public laundry, unless you really dirty clothes and want to wash a lot at one time. Also a little annoying to get the touch power button on. Guess I haven’t figured out just the right touch for that.

We live in a dry-ish area of Hawaii and line dry everything. Often, though, the rain clouds will roll in before everything is fully dry and this is great for finishing that last little bit. That it didn't require an electrician to install is the best part, though because of the lower voltage, it doesn't get super hot which is fine for our purposes. The WORST thing about this product is the absolutely INFERIOR job that the manufacturer does in packaging this for shipping. There was barely any padding in the box to protect it in shipping and the first one came totally mangled to where the door couldn't even close. Had to reorder and the second one still had some dings but not enough to affect the function so kept it as it had already been 5 months since it was originally ordered. Bottom line, open the carton and check it before leaving the store!

I have a Whirlpool LDR3822PQ. Needed to clean the lint from under the drum and had to remove the front panel. I had to rip off the front part of the control panel to separate the timer from the knob just to remove the front panel. I couldn't get past the item behind the hybrid screws and could not find any help. I feel I purchased the wrong dryer for my apartment.

I really love this dryer it runs quiet and is easy to use. The wheels make it easy move to another room, or for cleaning. The best is it dries the entire load from my washer and sounds a buzz to let me know when the cycle ends. Clothes are always nicely dried with few wrinkles and the top of the drier makes a great surface for quick folding straight from the drier. I just love using it with the energy preferred automatic setting. It adjusts the drying time for a smaller or larger load. No guesswork or wasting extra quarters or going out in bad weather. I do laundry at home now and its great!

I have had it for 3 weeks and I am satisfied with it. My wife has a bit of a hard time opening it but I assume it is because it is new. Whirlpool is a good company and I have bought their products in the past. I hope and expect along the dryer lasts as long as my last Whirlpool.

Worst dryer. Takes over an hour to dry two towels and a few other things. Its like eady bake dryer (toy) like. This is the 3rd dryer to deliver. The other 2 had faulty doors. They said thats how it comes. So disappointed.

This dryer replaces a similar one that lasted 13 years. I don’t have a plug for regular dryers so this one is great gor 110-120 volts. It’s more modern than previous one and comes with humidity sensor.

I have to say I am impressed with this washer / dryer combination. Especially I like the many cycle choices for my wash. Both are very quiet. Good looking with nice dials. I give it 5 stars!

We bought a stackable Whirlpool washer/dryer. They both work excellent. Smaller loads but just perfect for our 5th wheel rv. Dryer works best on "more dry". It gets the job done!

I bought a Whirlpool compact dryer in 1999 and it finally started to go out last December of 2017. I replaced my old Whirlpool compact dryer with this new Whirlpool compact dryer. Since it's basically the same dryer, I thought it would be as good as the old one. IT'S NOT! It's really noisy and the dryer door is crooked and extremely difficult to open and close. I have to use all my strength to open the dryer. I'm not happy with it at all and I'm sorry I purchased it.
JakeyPoo02/03/2018 01:50 PM
The dryer is easy to use and is relatively quite but not very efficient. Dry times take much longer than I anticipated, even when doing a very small load. The lint trap is poorly designed and oddly difficult to get all of the lint out. The strangest thing about this dryer is that the power button has a light that will flash after a load has stopped and clothes pulled out until, you depress it. I mean will flash for days...as has been the case with ours several times. The stainless steel drum is a quality plus but the cheap, flimsy plastic handle and lid are not.

It’s drys my nice and hot I couldn’t ask for any thing else, the price was great

Does what it’s supposed to. I have an extremely small area for laundry and the dimensions with the door open as well as closed for this unit is the only one that worked. This was a replacement for the very same unit that was 30+ years old originally designed by Kenmore this year’s brand. The only reason why I gave it four stars instead of five is the fact that it only comes in 110 V. I would have liked a 220 as this was made a good unit a Great unit.

At first when it arrived i was like this is a super small dryer for the price we payed. Tried it at first i wasnt to happy about the timed setting it barely dries the cloth and we where not jamming clothes had plenty of space. Then we decided to give the More dry setting a try and to my surprise as long as you have no more than say 10pcs of clothes it will get the job done. Super impressed for now. Great product. Would recommend. Nothing is perfect.
