  • Purchased the washer and dryer stack set with the condo we bought and the dryer brokedown only after 1 year 10 months of use. Of course, after the the 1 year warranty expired. Would not purchase this dryer from Whirlpool if I were you! 2 error codes, under 2 years use. Ridiculous!

  • My dryer is 3 years old, I have had repair men in and nobody could figure out what the problem is. It is cleaned, 4 inches from back, door open and It DOES NOT DRY clothing. It takes HOURS to dry 1 load, And I balls up a large sheet in the dry so the middle of the sheet NEVER DRYS. It is the WORST dryer. I am so upset.

  • Writing to let others know that because of no customer service response from whirlpool I can not use the whirlpool dryer purchased from a whirlpool seller. The technical anomaly is the drain hose on the non vented dryer is too short to reach either the floor drain oir the washing machine drain. My messages left with whirlpool customer service inquiring about a replacement drain hose have produced no responses or reply’s from whirlpool; therefore, within two days I will request a full purchase return from whirlpool.

  • compact but powerful, this small dryer does an amazing job

  • Never had one before but was pleasantly surprised Saves going to laundromat

    LSSV02/18/2022 01:23 AM

  • I recieved the dryer from the delivery man thats associated with Tribles, then installed it in the residents unit. After the install was complete i proceeded to test the dryer and to my disbelief it started winding up very loud as if it was a turbine motor. I quickly unplugged the unit then called the sales rep to have immediate service for this resident. This is not the first time I have received faulty appliances from whirlpool. which is why Im trying to take my business else where if this is not fixed.

  • The dryer was brand new when I moved in my home 3+ years ago. It barely worked for a year an has not worked since. Does not dry anything. Ventless mechanism does not help. No repair person could figure out how to fix it and frankly, it's been a pain. The matching washing machine has been on the fritz too (almost flooded my space). Please avoid this set. It is expensive to replace and costs even more to repair and the bad thing is, even after spending the money, it won't work. I thought I was the only one who was experiencing this. I've had other Whirlpool products that lasted decades so I know this brand can do better. This product should be recalled and replaced with something that not only works but that won't create serious problems because of a faulty appliance. From my experience I'd rate this a dud. Worse dryer and set in Whirlpool history.

  • Dryer is 2 years old and Whirlpool authorized technician says it isn't worth repairing. Needs a $ 600 repair. When it worked it had more than one service call in the 2 years of use, and took a very long time to dry a small load of clothes. Whirlpool unwilling to stand behind their product in any way. I will not buy another Whirlpool product.

    Laundry lady06/10/2025 06:24 AM

  • I needed to add a 2nd laundry room to our home. There were space limitations and a vent for the dryer was nearly impossible to install. The heat pump ventless dryer was our only option. Once we learned how to properly use the laundry system, it has exceeded our expectations.

    TheRonster12/27/2021 11:33 PM

  • The dryer works great but the stacking kit wasn’t delivered with the washer and dryer. It’s tough bending so far to use the dryer. The ventless system works terrific. I recycle the pulled water in my garden.

    Dunns03/04/2022 06:43 AM

  • I am grateful to have a working dryer! This dryer has a big drum, which is nice for a small space dryer. The panel is challenging to operate; it seems quite sensitive, and we spend a lot of time trying to figure out how long to push a button to make it work!

    Gerianne10/25/2022 08:51 AM

  • I purchased this dryer to make a stacking space saving washer and dryer set. It works and drys. The clothes. It a little more work then and ordinary dry. I have to empty a water tank every load and clean the extra filter every couple loads a long with the lint trap that is any dryer. Pro’s is it doesn’t have to be vented to the outside, heats and drys well and takes a lot less space then a normal washer and dry over all. I am pleased with the dryer.

    Lynnann12/09/2023 05:31 PM

  • This is the worst dryer on the market. I've had error codes after error codes. Now that my warranty has expired, I will be looking at getting something else. This was an awful product by WhirlPool!

    Benford06/28/2021 04:56 AM

  • Since it doesn't seem to say these things literally anywhere in the user manual, I'm going to provide this information as I learned it through trial and error: Pay attention to the three red indicators in the middle of the control panel near the control knob. The top indicator with the water droplet means you need to empty the water tank (the panel on the top left). If your water tank is full, the dryer will automatically shut off after 5 or so minutes. The other two indicators refer to the lint trap and filter (inside the drum and bottom left panel, respectively). I haven't figured out which one is which, so I just check them both whenever I see one of the indicators light up. I don't even bother with any of the programming options. I do a timed dry every time. You have to turn the knob so that the "timed dry" setting is indicated, then press the "timed dry" option on the right side of the options ribbon at the bottom to set the time. For half a drum full of clothes, or for things like towels, I will usually dry for 3 hours and then check. Depending on the material or other things like ambient humidity, I might need to add another 30 mins or so. I only wash my own laundry in this unit, so I can usually go through 3-5 days worth of clothes and get them all dry in one night. I don't recommend drying pillows, comforters, or anything particularly bulky in this dryer - I have never gotten it to dry any of those items completely. This is not a good dryer by any stretch of the imagination, but ventless dryers typically suck and take forever to dry. I guess they're supposedly energy efficient. I can't really see how an appliance running for 3-5 hours 2-3 times a week will positively impact my electric bill, but I suppose that will become evident when my next bill comes in. It dries my clothes (eventually) and that's the only endorsement I can really give it.

    Noah02/15/2025 08:54 PM

  • If I could give it a negative 10 I would. Probably worse than my older dryer I bought to replace. It says clean both filters every 2 cycles. (Not just the lint filter, that’s every cycle obviously). Every cool down it makes a terrible noise. It sucks it’s sucks it sucks

    Marronem10/29/2025 02:51 PM

  • Horrible dryer!! Does not even do anything, repeatedly tried to contact a REAL person at whirlpool and get no where! Everytime we try to turn it on, It goes through weird modes, and gets stuck on buttons and won't change and then we can't even push the start button. If we do get to, it starts for like 30 seconds and then pauses itself. We have to restart the dryer 200 times for one tiny load!! Piece of junk. Do NOT BUY this!!!

    KD1304/15/2025 03:00 AM

  • I bought the dryer year or two ago didn’t realize it was a ventless that takes super long to dry. The dryers for our cabin, so we bring our clothes home to wash now kind of a bummer

    Ryan01/31/2021 04:43 PM

  • I purchased this dryer to match my washing machine, and it was the size I needed for my laundry room. I did not realize that it was a ventless model. When I ordered this, I added delivery and installation. The dryer was delivered on 1.16.25. basically, they brought my dryer in my laundry room as there is no installation required so I am not sure why I was charged. On 1.18.25 I dried my first load of laundry 4 bath towels and two hand towels. Put it on the towels setting and after the 2+ hour cycle my towels were still not fully dried. It took a total of 3.5 hours for one load. I thought I must be doing something wrong but nope, my next load 2 pair of jeans, 4 shirts on "jeans cycle" took between 3-4 hours to fully dry. Being very disappointed with the time it takes to dry and thinking of how expensive my electric bill is going to go up I called customer service in Benton Harbor MI on 1.21.25 only to get my call pushed to 4 different support members and an hour and 15min of my time, to only become more irritated with the end results. I was told because I used the dryer two times the appliance is now "USED" and I could not return or exchange it for a vented dryer....If I had not used it, how would I have known that this was going to take 3-4 hours per load and that it is not going to work for my household. They said I am probably putting too much laundry in or not cleaning the lint trap. On 1.24.25 they sent out a tech. to service my new dryer to make sure it is heating like it should. He walked in and looked at it and said these ventless dryers are known to take a long time to dry and would not recommend them. Dryer was heating like it should so there was nothing more he could do. This tech that came out was the only positive thing about this situation. He listened, understood my frustration and was very polite. I will NEVER buy or recommend anyone to purchase from Whirlpool. Terrible customer support, Terrible product and most of all horrible return policy. I have NEVER made a purchase and if there was a problem or if I was not satisfied with it was not able to return it after 5 days. Totally Unacceptable.

    Fitzy01/28/2025 02:25 AM

  • The dryer has been taking hours to dry a simple load. And like another reviewer stated, we cannot find a replacement for the filter, and we’re supposed to clean the water tank before each cycle?!!

    Hk135810/17/2021 02:31 PM

  • Perfect size for my kitchen closet! Being a single person it suits me well. Love the fact that it’s environmentally friendly.

    Cookie11/13/2021 02:30 AM

  • I bought this for a closet laundry. 1st time I used it had a little squeak. Now is a loud scrape.

    Gramma07/23/2022 02:07 AM

  • I love the feature of the water extraction with this dryer!

    Eve6707/31/2022 03:25 AM

  • We bought the set because we had no choice for our space . The dryer takes double of the time to dry everything comes out damp, in addition to having to empty the water reseivor very often , the filter replacement is imposible to find . Not what I expected.

    Bonita07/10/2021 05:57 AM

  • No model number on it, hard to look up. The settings get stuck and are a mystery. Press the large black circle and then move the white ring around it forward and start and the machine will power on. Discovered by accident but seriously necessary. Can't change the dryer temperature to high, the icons are tiny, and I don't know what they mean.. Hate it, really hate it.
