Don't buy this it is junk. When in cleaning cycle mode it flooded our laundry room on the main floor and took out the basement ceiling and the carpets as well. It does work and doesn't flood when you are in standard washing mode. The manual does request that after 30 washes you clean it. Good luck with that DON'T DO IT. After the Whirlpool service was here and confirmed that it was in working order, our insurance paid for repairs (we paid the deductible) - guess what - it happened again. By the way, customer service doesn't care about their customers.

My family are enjoying the washer . Because is big

This washing machine came new with my new condo. It worked well, with no problems for the first year but now, a year and three months I have started receiving an error code. The error ("F6E3") displayed means the MCU is not communicating with the ACU. I hired a technician to look at it and he said it needed a new electronic control board, costing $500 before installation. Of course, this machine only comes with a one year warranty so I am 3 months outside the warranty period. After doing a load of laundry roughly every week and a half, I should not be having to replace a $500 part on my own accord. I would not recommend this product to anyone I know.

I’ve had my washer for 3 months now and it does a decent job. I find the door to be a bit thinner and feels very light and cheaply made compared to my older washer. I don’t like the way the drawer you add soap too doesn’t line up flush against the washer(see photo) but it’s just aesthetics. The washer does a good job washing clothes. My only complaint regarding washing is the quick modes do not rinse your clothes enough. If you need a quick wash and takes forever to dry then that doesn’t really get your clothes done any faster.

I had Samsung Washer works fine ,Bosch Washer works perfect! UNTIL i moved to the new house,i got this LOVELY washer from builder. When i use this washer the Fifth time. It shows error code F9 E1(stucked pump filter)however there is no place to open the pump filter unless i can upload the whole front panel. No clue on instruction book or youtube,so i called the whirlpool service. The lady told me no technicist in my area… I asked my friend to find a technicist. He fix the washer,A HALF BRA in the pump filter!YES A HALF BRA in the pump filter !Then how can i put kids’s socks into the washer??

I thought it will be a very good new washing machine I dreamed all my life about. Did like the simple, clean style and simplicity of features, liked the capacity is not too large. Wanted to love it for years. The machine worked well until I washed a couple of my dresses. Those were machine washable and I did wash them in my old top load whirlpool without concerns. Turned the garments inside out and used Cold, Delicate and Wrinkle control settings. Look what I have received back after the washing cycle... The garment lining is completely damaged with numerous pulls... I were in tears. It has been just a couple of weeks since I purchased the machine and the store will send the replacement. However, at this point I am concerned if I can trust the brand for a long term. With my hand I feel some of the opening inside the washing drum have rough edges, I assume it is the reason of the pulls during garment washing. it is not acceptable nor for a $900 appliance, nor for a Whirlpool as a reputable brand. Is it typical for Whirlpool and it is not designed to wash delicates or business clothes? Please let me know, I have to go with another brand then. LG has a very smooth drum surface for example. Thank you in advance for your prompt response. Liya

We are in Canada. This Whirpool washer was included in our new townhome that was built 3 years ago. Now, the washer started leaking water from front buttom which damaged our mainfloor ceiling with huge watermarks. Can’t believe the washer’s lifespan is only 3 years. We will just replace this washer with Samsung or LG since the repair cost is going to cost us close to a new machine. It was good until a small problem starts to happening, then it becomes your nightmare. Attaching a video of the leakage. The leak is not from hose, door, or seal… it just drips from the buttom. I ran the machine to take a video but our original leakage literally soaked the entire carpet outside of the cabinet. We also had a Whirpool microwave with lots of problem that took us 2-3 months to start using it.. good luck.

I ordered this washing machine together with a matching heat pump dryer, because we were building a new Passive house and we needed a heat pump dryer that doesn't have an outside vent. This washer grows black mold right inside the soap dispenser - in the softener and bleach compartments. I don't even use any of the dispenser compartments, because I use soap pods which I place directly inside the machine. I can only imagine what grows inside the machine! I had to use a painting brush to remove the black mold out of all the nooks and crannies of the dispenser. Also the fact that I have to hold the start button for 3 secs to start the machine is supper annoying. If you hold a second longer - the machine will never start. Who designed this equipment? Did you do any user testing on it? Did you ask any family members to use it? I have never owned a Whirlpool appliance and I will never buy another one. What a shame.

We got this washer almost a year ago and it is really laud the drum makes some really bad noice when spinning and sometimes the cloths are soak at the end of the wash

TERRIBLE DESIGN. your clothes will eventually start smelling like mildew and no matter how many times you use a cleaning tablet your clothes will still STINK. there’s no reasonable way to clean any filters or anything that could be causing this issue without taking the machine out and unscrewing panels and trying to squeeze your way into the machine. Unlike other models where they put a drawer to access the filter you need to be a licensed plumber to deep clean this atrocity. Whatever engineer designed this hunk of junk needs to be fired immediately.

I bought this item on 10/19/2022. After installation, it is not even working at all!! Never expected defective item sold by Whirlpool!! It took me one and half hour to talk to whirlpool customer service representative just to get a service appointment scheduled, which is 3 weeks away!!! After waiting for 3 weeks, service personnel visited, checked the item and said he needs to order new control panel, and his next earliest available appointment is another two weeks!! It is going crazy. without washing cloths for months even after paying so much for a brand new washing machine!! Very disappointed with this product. I will never recommend Whirlpool to anyone!

We recently moved into our new home and we had Whirlpool washing machine and dryer installed, and I couldn't be happier with the choice! Both appliances are efficient, quiet, and easy to use. The washing machine handles large loads effortlessly while using minimal water and energy. Clothes come out fresh and well-cleaned every time. I also love the variety of wash cycles, which let me customize settings for different fabrics. The dryer is just as impressive! It dries clothes quickly and evenly, and the moisture sensor prevents over-drying, keeping my clothes in great condition. Overall, Whirlpool has exceeded my expectations as compared to the previous brands i have used in the past. I highly recommend these appliances!

Last month I had the same error come up E2F6 and now it came after a load did not finish spinning and it is stuck. From what I read it seems to be a motherboard problem and it is a bit of a expense to fix now I'm stuck with a broken washer and who knows if I ever gonna get it fixed at this point It seems more viable to buy a new one...not a whirlpool again thanks.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU CANT MOVE THE UNIT AFTER. The washer works fine enough. Removing the back panel to access the drain filter is a huge inconvenience as our units are stacked in a very tight space. This is a poor engineering design as cleaning the drain filter is essential to maintaining the life span of the washer unit. I looked through my owner's manual on how to clean my drain filter. The instruction does not match my unit or the 3 other similar units sold in Canada. I am very disappointed with Whirlpool in the year 2022 they could easily upload a new PDF explaining how to gain access to the drain filter.

I bought this washer in 11/2019 and it is 4/2020.. Now the washer will not turn on and has no power. I am struggling to get a hold of anyone to help me and now I am trying to live like the old days. Washing clothes for 6 people in the sink.. It is the lousiest washer I have ever owned. Also if you put more than half a load in it the clothes do not come out clean.. So disappointed and feel like I have wasted my money!!!

The worst! I have had this garbage of a washer for less than a month and it broke on and now my clothes are moldy And I had to toss them in the garbage. And Who’s gonna pay for those moldy health hazards? They sent a technician the first time to fix it but the same error occurred. It displayed an error code and the stupid washer will not turn on no matter how many times you unplug and plug it. And this garbage of a company refuses to replace their product! How could a brand new product just break if it isn’t garbage? And are you proud of yourselves whirlpool? I bet these whirlpool execs dont have whirlpool washers because they know these are rubbish!

Our 4th Whirlpool washer in 16 years needed replacing (extended warranties). At the 1st month, to the exact date, of delivery, we had the repairman here to investigate the following details: spin cycles were very loud, shaking unit, and still wet at the end of the wash. He didn't do much, but he did say that blankets and bathmats should not be washed in this machine (hadn't done that yet), and not to use a full load. Wow. This means I can't really use the washer properly. True, it is quieter on a "medium" load. It is still very noisy on a small load. The clothes still don't come out damp, like all the previous washers. I now have to do laundry more often, and, as the repairman suggested, take my blankets/bath mats to a commercial laundrymat. So why did |I buy a new washer???

⭐ 1/5 — Extremely Frustrated I bought this washing machine brand new, and it’s been nothing but problems. I’ve had to schedule multiple service calls through my insurance, and the same issue keeps happening — the wiring harness for the door actuator fails over and over again. It’s really disappointing. You don’t expect to deal with this kind of hassle from a new machine. I’ve tried to be patient, but at this point, I just want a replacement. Unfortunately, I think I’m outside the warranty window now. I’m honestly fed up and wouldn’t buy anything from this brand again. It’s been a frustrating and time-consuming experience.

Washer broke after 3 years which was outside of their 1 year warranty. The part that was broken (the ACU) not only expensive but was on back order for likely several months. When I spoke with customer service they only offered 15% off my next purchase (less than the cost of the diagnostic fee). Not to mention they called me after to collect payment for the diagnostic appointment which I paid when the tech came to my home. Never buying whirlpool ever again. It’s unacceptable to be unable to repair a washer that is relatively new in a reasonable timeframe. The broken washer was thrown out, sorry to the planet..

This washer was installed in the brand new townhome I bought in 2020. This washer started to break down after just 6 months. We have had multiple call outs for this washer to be fixed and it seems to require repair every 6 months. Control panel replacement 3 times since 2020. Now it’s something else going wrong - the drum will no longer spin. I am tired of having these issues and I now find myself searching for a replacement and sending this one to landfill!! I have never in over 20 years of owning a home had issues like this with a washer. It is totally unacceptable for a reputable brand like Whirlpool to sell such garbage! Not happy and won’t be replacing with another Whirlpool washer.

I purchased this washer and the matching dryer 6 months ago. Repair people have been here 3 times. The motherboard and wiring harness of the washer blew out after one month. Took a month to fix because repair people could not diagnose the problem. After that the dryer stopped working. The drum fell off the rollers. After 3 months of use. I complain to Whirlpool, I complain to Lowe’s but they don’t care. Sure the CEO’s are playing golf laughing it up as to what suckers we are. Won’t ever buy Whirlpool again, or appliances from Lowe’s.

If I could give this product negative stars, I would. I own this product because it came with the purchase of my new home, and it is absolutely awful. I am not a fan of front load washers because people have told me about mold concern, but I figured if I kept it clean it would be okay. That is not the problem with this though. I cannot wash any blankets in it, big or small (and even some clothing loads), because the washer ends up water logging the blanket or clothes. The washer then gets off balance because the saturated item(s) in the bottom, the washer throws an error code because it has made itself off balance. Then, I’m stuck with soapy wet clothes that I have to wring out by hand. if I am able, I redistribute the clothes, put it on the drain cycle, and THEN do a quick wash cycle (no added soap) to get the soap off my clothes, and try again (hoping it doesn’t go off balance with the next cycle). Laundry already is exhausting and now it is even worse.
NewWasherUser03/20/2025 06:45 AM
The brand new Whirpool washer dead after 9 months of usage. The warranty does not take responsibility and took them 30 seconds only to diagnose the machine (which means they definitely know about the same electronics failure with similar models). It can take up-to two months to get the spare parts (specially PCB that is prone to fail). Customer support will ghost you and they do not provide you with a solution. Avoid this Brand at all costs!!
