  • Was so excited to save space and energy with this machine. Unfortunately it's complete trash. After all the same reviews with the same problems, I can't believe they are still selling this junk. Steam comes out anywhere it possibly can, my walls and floors are wet. Lint builds up inside the drawers, rubber door gasket, and surely inside the machine. Going to be a fire hazard for sure with the extended dry times. Need to clean drain filter every wash or it clogs up with lint. Not an easy task. I'm not in whirlpool service area and the appliance guys around here say its simply a poor design, nothing they can fix on it. Really wish I would've spent a bit more on something better.

  • We received our unit about 1 month ago, we were really excited to get it, the first time we used it the big excitement turned into a huge dissapointment. The dryer steam is coming out the top soap dispenser and is turning our bathroom into a sauna which makes it totally useless, first I was waiting for a response from the store where we bought it from, that took about 10 or 11 days which meant the 10 days where we could have returned it was gone, than finally a tech came out who wasn't to sure what the problem was, actually he thought that's the way the unit was suppose to work which is nonsense.I than called whirlpool, so the tech came out a second time and according to him, he thinks he found the faulty part, he told us he would order it but has NO idea how long it will take to get it. This unit should just be replaced, why do we have to go through this after paying over $2000 for it?

  • I purchased this combo unit for what i thought was convenience for space and time, however after using it for a couple of weeks i have since learned that this machine needs to be redesigned. The idea of it is nice but there are significant problems with it. The first being there is no lint trap because it features a “ventless” design that is supposed to flush lint out with the water pump, unfortunately it does not. After a load lint is covered EVERYWHERE…. The second issue there is is that there is no adjustment for the dry cycle if your cloths are still damp after a cycle you have to dry them for an entire 2 hr 15 minute cycle. There is no 30 minute quick dry and the machine will also ALWAYS do a spin cycle before frothing them again. The third issue is that it will make your entire house humid because steam and moisture will come up from the soap tray for single washes and even tho it is supposed to be a ventless design it vents into your house. I would suggest for anyone looking at this machine to steer clear and go with a traditional washer/dryer setup. Very disappointed with this machine for the cost and for it to not work the way it should. I have tried to get a refund for the $1500.00 i spent on this and have been tossed back and forth by whirlpool and Lowes because they both say that it’s not their problem and Lowe’s only has a 48hr return policy so i am stuck with this heap of garbage until i can afford to buy a different set up. My advice. STEER CLEAR OF THIS MACHINE AND DOMT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.

  • I'm extremely dissatisfied with this all in one washer dryer. No matter how few items I put in to wash, the machine never fully dries the them. I've had issues with the panel not responding to pressing of the buttons. Not sure if this is a manufacturer issue or the unit itself is malfunctioning. I had a technician come out not even a month after delivery. Laundry piling up, clothes ruined after sitting wet / mildewed from not fully drying. I've had to resort to more money out of pocket going to a laundromat to wash my clothes with a $1400 unit here that's useless.

  • We bought this in October and started using it in December. We have 3 cats and this probably contributes to the washer frequently clogging due to the lint management system. When this happens, you have to drain the basin and the setup for this is not ideal. We can go 4 full loads before we get the error message and have to unclog again. During the drying cycle, water accumulates in the detergent tray, and then drips down the side of the unit to the floor. Poor design. Other issue is the control panel sometime is unresponsive and I have to unplug the unit and plug it back in.

    TheRebelVegan01/25/2023 01:22 PM

  • This was a disappointing purchase, steam pours out of the detergent tray, and makes the entire house humid every time the dryer turns on despite it being advertised as “ventless” even though it has a vent. There is no lint trap so lint sticks to the door seal and your clothes. Called whirlpool to have a repair tech come out who told me nothing was wrong with it. The store I bought it from wouldn’t take it back and neither will Whirlpool, so I am now stuck with it.

    Sadownerofawasher05/29/2025 01:29 PM

  • Can I give a minus score? You understood that it would longer for a cycle to complete but 5 hours is too long. The manual states that the drain filter should be cleaned every 6 months however if you do not clean it after every wash it will cause problems. The lint even coats the soap dispenser and I am sure if I took the case off the machine lint would be everywhere. It is a very poor design and I hope somehow I can return the washer.

  • This was purchased prior to our move in. I am absolutely NOT happy w/it!! ALWAYS something wrong w/it!! Takes toooo long to wash & then dry!!!!!!

    Disgusted08/06/2025 03:14 PM

  • I have been using this washer/dryer for about a week in my apartment. I purchased it because I have no hook ups and the apartment company charges 2.75 for a wash and 2.75 minimum for 50 min dry. It works great. It is a great washer, it vibrates a little when on max spin speed but a 50mm/1.96 gap between spaces is code and is more than enough. That being said, it also drys the clothes but this is not as efficient as a vented dryer. I have put it through its paces and it will wash and dry a cal king comforter heavy weight in about 4.5 hours. It handled a load of socks and underwear above the fill line for drying in about 3 hours. It works for 1 person living alone. I tried washing and dry only instead of wash/dry and the results were damp. If you dry on dry only it spins then drys no matter what but doesnt dry all the way... So the best way is wash and dry. It works!! Your clothes will be washed and dry. However, there is a slight design flaw with the detergant/softerner dispencer. Steam comes out of the dispencer when it drys. I had a tech come and diagnose it because I thought it was a defect. The hose that puts the detergent into the drum for washing does not have a valve. As a result, you will get some minor condensation/steam coming from the dispencer on the top of the machine. Its not too bad but a design flaw in my opinion. I guess you could block the opening with something when drying but that is optional. It doesnt make my apartment humid or anything. Finally and again, it works and is a lot less expensive than LG. It is basic and gets the job done with the exeception of the minor flaw I described. One last thing, you have to clean the rubber seal with something because it doesnt have a lint trap. You can use anything and Whirlpool recommends a specific item but I found clorox disenfecting wipes the cheapest option. About every 2 loads there will be lint all around the seal inside and out. I just use about 2 clorox wipes and it gets most of it and disenfects also.

  • I bought this last December it's been acting up and now it went out. The whirlpool company I had to call personally because the online scheduling wouldn't work for how rural we are. I wish I had my second hand cheap 50 set I picked up. We paid approx 1500 and now we've gone from 4=19 until now because rhe part that broke is on backorder. So I've been washing by hand nad hanging my whole families clothes out to dry on a line. Too much work. This should have lasted a life time not 4 months! Thank god we paid cash, I feel bad for someone if they buy on credit. The part to replace is around 400! Which the warranty only covers for 12 mo after the purchase date.

    Jhil04/22/2023 04:32 AM

  • We are now waiting for the tech to come back out for time number 6 might be 7. We have changed one part at a time. Gets stuck on 16 minutes during dry time. Runs until shut off. So clothes are getting ragged from the constant spinning in drum, utility bill can't be any lower since it ran 6 hrs while at work and let's not forgot it gets so hot it might burn the house down around it but hey what's another service call instead of taking it back.

    Phipps05/07/2026 02:06 AM

  • Purchased the washer/dryer combo. It’s terrible. We understood that the drying took a lot longer and that was ok, however we can’t get a load to go through the entire cycle without throwing codes, shutting down, not drying. This unit is less than 30 days old. I’ll be filing for a return and full refund. Id buy Whirlpool washer and dryer but absolutely never the combo. Terrible

    GG10902/18/2024 04:28 PM

  • I bought a condo in Toronto about 7 months ago and all appliances including the laundry replaced in late 2023. Couple of days back this laundry stopped working! I booked a service guy from Whirlpool and paid almost $150 to see what happened as the machine suddenly stopped working. They found that the mother board is gone!!! The place was even empty for several months before I bought it and it shows to me a little after the manufacturer warranty passed the machine became obsolete. How is it possible?! The mother board gone right after the manufacturer warranty ended!!! Now, I have to wait for 21 days as they are out of the part which is going to cost me over $450 plus... thanks Whirlpool for being such a low quality and disposable machine. Past is the past. Never trust this brand and their affiliates! Such a loss and wrong investment.

    Amir Iranmanesh01/14/2025 12:52 PM

  • This is the worst thing I have eve owed! If you are looking at this , run forest RUN! It take on avg 9 &1/2 hours to wash and dry a single load of just 4 bath towels and a few hand towels!

    Don’t buy08/09/2024 12:33 PM

  • I absolutely love my whirlpool 2-in-1 combo washer/dryer. I previously owned a GE washer which I got used and it lasted me 14 years. Never had the luxury of a dryer and this model is really worth its weight!

    Deb5708/09/2024 11:39 PM

  • Solid wash and drying Concerns over the amount of condensation that drips out of the vent in the upper left on larger loads. Concerns Over time will this cause rust and corrosion

    Double D02/03/2026 02:29 AM

  • Bought this over a year ago to save space in our laundry room. Possibly the worst decision I've ever made. I really tried to like this product. It does, indeed, save space; however, it fails in almost every other aspect as an appliance. The biggest issue I have is that after 2-3 runs (4 max, but sometimes even just after 1 run) I have to drain the machine because the filter gets clogged and it can't drain itself; this in itself is annoying, but becomes a huge chore because 1) there is no built in drain pan and 2) the drain spout IS TOO SHORT TO REACH a bowl or external drain pan, so I have to stick a straw into the drain spout to make it reach. Seriously? Who designed this? This was enough to give 1 star by itself, and there's no way to come back from such a frustrating design flaw. The second issue I have is the drying feature. I knew it's ventless, so I expected it to take longer to dry and I was okay with this. I fill the machine below the "optimal drying fill line" and the clothes still come out very damp after 4-6 hours in a single run. The amount of time it takes to dry, in combination with the size of the machine, makes it very easy to fall behind on laundry, especially if it's 2+ people. Third issue is the clothes just don't smell good after coming out of the machine. I have tried the scent beads and they help, but it absolutely does not compare to a traditional dryer where you can use dryer sheets. Fourth issue is the lint trap being the rubber ring that the door sits in. This thing is very difficult to clean and wipe lint off of, and it must be done between every cycle. Even though I do wipe it SPOTLESS between each run, the lint filter (see first issue I listed) STILL GETS CLOGGED extremely quickly. Why am I wasting my time cleaning the lint trap if it's just all gonna end up in the filter anyway? Last issue is, honestly, the barrel size is just too small when you factor in the "optimal drying fill line". The line sits at a little over half of the barrel size, so you're actually working with under half of a barrel instead of 3/4 of the barrel.

  • First time using the unit it did the wash and shut off without drying. Tried again same thing. Tried to dry only and could not choose it. Called Whirlpool and was on the phone for about a half hour and only was told to do the same as what I had already done. Whirlpool set up a visit from some shop that was to far away to get to my location. The shop was given my home address and not where I told Whirlpool the unit is. So had to call Whirlpool again and I'm now waiting to talk to someone about my problem. The proper steps are not spelled out in the paperwork to get the unit to do what you want. No video on line shows a step by step sequence that gets the job done.

    Not happy 7406/12/2023 11:44 PM

  • Haven't been able to use it as it would not work. Displaying FL LO. It started for awhile and then the FL LO displayed and was left with wet towels. Had to remove the towels and hand wring them to hang up and dry. Called Support Services on that day and they informed me that I would receive a call for someone to come and check out the problem. Today I made another call and they now tell me that I should get a call sometime soon. I'm ready to just have they take it back and eighter give me a replacement and make sure it works, or a refund on the washer/dryer and the 3 year warranty I paid for. At this point I would not tell anyone about purchasing this product.

    Grumpy Old Marine7612/05/2023 04:10 AM

  • There are aspects of this all-in-one washer/dryer I really like and then there's the issues. The good things include all the wahing options, the xl soap dispenser, and the ability to extend the drying time if I'm not around to take the close out right after the dry cycle ends. I love that feature. As much as I like the drying feature there's a problem with the fact that there's nowhere for the steam to go since it ventless and despite having ventilation in the location of my brand new appliance, condensation builds up around the upper detergent dispenser and drips water along the side of the unit down under the unit, then to the floor. This problem isn't sustainable long term. Because it's new and under warranty, I have a Whirlpool repair business rep coming to see if this issue can be fixed or not. If so, I'm a happy camper, if not it's gotta go. Fingers crossed! I'll update after my appointment.

  • I bought this all in one washer/dryer with the hopes that it would be maintenance free for the first few years. Sadly, we have had several issues with it. 1. There is no lint recovery method, in otherwards the lint from the wash simply stays in the washed clothes and covers the front seal requiring frequent hand cleaning. 2. and this is the biggest issue, the unit requires you to manually remover a lint trap located in the front bottom of the unit when it starts producing a Sd code. I wouldn't mind this however, there is about a quart or more of water that comes out during this procedure. I would not recommend this unit to anyone for these simple reasons.

    JoeBlan07/20/2025 03:44 AM

  • Highly recommend avoiding this. Drying takes forever and there is so much lint inside the machine after each use. We have to do the full cycle and a cycle of just drying to just get a completed load of laundry done. They say to clean the filter once a month and it has already been clogged after a week's use. When you go to clean the filter a pool of water will gush all over your floor. Even if it's drained properly after use and try to do standard maintenance, there is still water coming out from the bottom. I never write a review on products and I am very adaptable to most products, but this product shouldn't even be offered on the market.

    JM2202403/10/2024 12:34 PM

  • I have did two loads of clothes so far. We had to run water lines a sewer line and electric line to a first floor closet so it is nice to have a ventless dryer first time. I do like it so far.

    Debbie12/29/2024 03:21 AM

  • We needed more room in our utility bathroom as it’s an addition to a home built in the 1880s, so the space doesn’t function effortlessly. My wife and I were skeptical at first on buying a combo washer and dryer because of reviews talking about long drying time. From our research I can tell you most bad experiences we read about were user error and not the fault of Whirlpool or the appliance quality. The first thing we washed was a queen size comforter, and it’s poofy. It far exceeded the maximum fill line, and it was completely dry in just under 4 hours (bulky/heavy duty settings). We love this appliance.
