• The washer arrived and was set in place by the transportation company. Everything looks good and the washer performs well in every way. But, there is a significant rattle noise from the "pump access" door at the bottom front of the machine. This takes a low noise washer to a machine that is loud enough that you can here it running in any other room in the house. It looks like a very small latch is used to close/open the door. There is some foam gasket material on the plastic door that I am guessing is design to keep a little tension on the latch so it does not rattle. We ran it for the first few days with the blue packaging tape on and it was very quiet. Once it was removed, the noise started up during the spin portion of any cycle.

• I received the washer and dryer beginning of August 2025. I was given 48 hrs to return. Ni issu no the first wash. A week later, I loaded a batch of clothes to wash overnight. The next not, my garage was flooded. Water was leaving from the soap dispenser. This is a new machine. Glad I have an extended warranty. But why do I get a defective machine and not able to get a replacement? It’s beyond me. I am now stuck with a leaking machine. It’s been two weeks since someone came in to look into it and was not able to fix the issue and said he needed to order the part. No one from whirlpool has contacted me. And I have water damage in my garage.

• This is a fantastic washer. Not only does it efficiently wash clothes, but it’s quiet (I had to check to make sure it was actually on when it first started because it was so quiet!), holds larger loads of clothes, and can be controlled via app! This is really nice because you can check how much time is left, and you can turn it off in case you forget it’s running when you leave the house. There’s also plenty of different settings, so you’re able to wash anything from blankets to jeans, and everything in between. You can adjust the soil level, pre soak items, and it has a steam clean setting! After the cycle ended, my clothes smelled great! Definitely would recommend if you’re looking for a new washer!

• Would give it zero stars save your money when it was delivered it had a ding so this thing must of been used. Probably a week into washed I’ve had to put on drain and spin every time after a load because it leaves my clothes soaked but now that doesn’t even work. Clothes are so wet had to throw away so much stuff. Inconvenient malfunctioning pricey washer how I wish I would have kept my old one

• WHIRLPOOL MODEL #wfw5720rw0 Worst machine and this company does not care to remedy issues in a timely manner. I bought this machine in September 2025. When the washer was delivered I noticed the side of the washer had a bit of damage on the side of it. It was a week later that I had noticed it. I called to have the item replaced. I had to fight tooth and nail to have a replacement sent. They finally agreed and so I received another brand new machine. 4 months have passed (Jan 28, 2026) The washing machine suddenly dies - no power. I call Whirlpool as it is still within the 1 year warranty. A technician comes the next day to service it. He tells me it’s the motherboard and the part is on back order and is not scheduled to arrive for 3 to 4 weeks. He told me 31 of these parts are on back order. I call Whirlpool again and complain about the ridiculous timeframe. I expressed the obvious to them that I will not be able to wash (for a family of 4) our clothes/towels/bedsheets etc for 3-4 weeks. Their solution was a $100 credit which I scoffed at. I demanded they send me a replacement machine as I would receive this sooner than the part. They refused to do so. The best they could do was try to expedite the part which would still be a minimum of two weeks and extend my warranty by a year. Not good enough. They would not budge so now I am left with a defective machine and unable to wash our belongings. The motherboard is a common issue with these machines. I had bought the Whirlpool Duet 15 years ago and same thing. Motherboard had to be replaced within the year. You would think Whirlpool would try to fix this common problem with these machines, maybe have ample stock of these parts or actually build a machine that won’t die in the first few months of use but I guess quality control isn’t their top priority. Do yourself a favour, don’t by this machine and stay away from Whirlpool products in general as their customer service is one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with.

• It has a nice sleek, modern look. Very quite compared to our 16 yr old Whirlpool Duet that sounded a spaceship taking off during the spin cycles. I just hope this one lasts as long... The drum dry cycle is 4 hrs., so we won't be using this feature and will just be leaving the door open between cycles instead. The buttons are more like a touchPad, than actual buttons and are very sensitive. If you're leaning or brush against it while reaching for something above the washer (like if you have cabinets above) you can turn it on. The rubber seal is definitely an upgrade from our old one and items like socks no longer get caught between the seal and drum. The app - I've really not used it much yet, but it does tell you what cycle it's on, how much time remains and when the cycle is complete. You can start a cycle using the app as well (delayed wash), but you can also use the delayed wash button on the machine itself. This was my favorite feature on my old washer and a necessity for the new one. Why we went with Whirlpool - as I said before the washer we replaced was 16 yrs. old. We bought all new Whirlpool appliances after building our house and the washer is the first appliance we've had to replace. The fridge, washer and dryer have all proven easy to work on/fix (pumps, belts, heating elements, ice machines, some thing that makes compressor in the fridge work). This really matters when you don't have $1000-$2500 to just go out and spend on a new appliance.

• This washer replaced a 24 year old washing machine and the improvements are substantial. Lower water consumption, less energy consumption, quieter and smoother operation, more cycle options, Wi-Fi notifications and controls, FreshFlow vent system for keeping clothes fresh after the load is complete, all add up to make doing laundry a pleasure.

• Cleans well. I live the quick wash cycle and the customizable cycle. But when it arrived there was mold growing inside the detergent dispenser which I had to thoroughly clean.

• It's still fairly new to us but a couple things...when it starts a spin cycle it sounds like it's about to go through the wall of the laundry room. It will quiet down but it literally sounds like someone dropping a pallet of bricks when it starts. Also the little door to clean the drain pump filter opens down. It's difficult to catch the water from the hose with a cup because of the lid being in the way. The door should open left or right so you can hold a cup to catch the water. Also it would be nice to be able to swap the hinges so the door would swing the other way. We had to some reconfiguring because the washer has to go on the left or the door will be in the way when switching laundry over.

• We purchased the set and received them on April 14th from Lowe's. we had since discovered that the dryer has never worked properly and are now waiting for service for over a week because it does not heat. The user manual that is provided is useless, it took me almost an hour to find a relevant piece of paper that would show us how to use the settings for the dryer. Unfortunately, the dryer doesn't eat therefore, after running it several times for three hours we discovered it wasn't drying the clothes. as for the washer, we use that twice to find out that the spin cycle does not adequately remove the water and now we need to call customer support back and try to get an appointment to analyze that. I also found out that the systems do not work with 5 GHz Internet, they only support 2.4 GHz so I called up AT&T to get 2.4 GHz turned on. After doing that, I tried multiple times to get the washer and dryer to hook up to the whirlpool app with no success. The system was not designed for user friendly nor does it provide adequate documentation. I would not, nor will not recommend whirlpool to anybody. I wish I had bought the Samsung product that I originally intended to.

• Purchased 6 weeks ago, pods do not dissolve properly in about 1/3 of my loads and I am finding some of the scent booster around the rubber ring of the front load washer. Whirlpool was not helpful, they do not provide any phone support, and said a technician would come to the house but would charge if there washer "worked as intended"

• Washer is very quiet. Washer has multiple settings to choose for load and cycle preference. It spins out the majority of the water out of the clothes in which aids and drying. Nice stainless steel color not too glossy or matte. Dial is easy to read for both washer and dryer. Nice small display with countdown, and I love that there is a built in fan that keeps your clothes fresh. As well as the WIFI pairing to start your washer while you’re out to perfectly time it for when you’re getting home to switch it over.

• I have not used the appliance much, but I did have a few difficulties leading up to this point. 1) I bought a matched W/D pair, listed as stackable, with no clear indication that a stacking kit was a separate purchase. 2) One of the rubber feet on the washer arrived torn (but unnoticed) which ultimately created a huge tear in my linoleum flooring. 3) The delivery service required multiple attempts due to them repeatedly sending a truck too large to navigate my admittedly complicated driveway.

• Purchased this washer about 2 months ago to replace a failing LG. Installation was easy. Lots of features/cycles. Can hook up Wi-Fi using the Whirlpool app (the app could use some work though, not the most user friendly - compared to the old LG app). The chime that plays when the washer is done is not overly loud though, not sure why they don't have a louder chime since a lot of washers are in the basement. Ensure to run cleaning cycle monthly and leave the door open when not in use (to dry). Besides the little things mentioned, overall we are very happy with it!

• This is by far the absolute WORST washing machine I have ever purchased in my over 40 year of doing laundry. And it is new! The spinning feature is a nightmare. Even a king size set of sheet comes out drenching wet. (Let alone trying to wash a twin size mattress pad.). Many times the clothes have suds in them after the wash. I never use more than a tablespoon of detergent. I don't feel like I should have to do an extra rinse cycle and pay extra water and electric cost. And of course, it comes with no interior light which is ridiculous. (This ithe least of my concerns.) This machine is a nightmare! Stay away!!

• It makes a loud noise when it balances when it starts spinning. I know machines make a little bit of noise when its about to start balancing specially when washing heavy things but this machine makes the noise even with light stuff. I think there is something wrong with it. Appliance direct sent a technician and the machine was empty and it didnt make the noise so he left me with a strange machine I was told to contact whjirlpool. Appliance direct was a very horrible expirience, I dont want to talk to them anymore. They are rude and are very condecending to me.I would like whirlpool to help me.

• I bought this washer because of the anti-bacterial door seal. There were no instructions provided regarding all of the different cycles. Not happy that I had to search the internet for information about how to use my washer. I like the dry drum feature but don't like that it takes 4 hours. The 57 min. normal cycle takes a few minutes to start and finishes with 10 minutes still left to go. I am not confident that my clothes have been washed properly. Some cycles are far too long. 2.12 hours for towels is a waste of energy. I can't set up a customized cycle unless I do it via WiFi plus no instructions as to how to do this.

• I chose this washer (and matching dryer) to replace a very old and reliable Kenmore washer and dryer due to age and increasing needs for service and repairs. My decision was based on features and the reputation of Whirlpool appliances, and I’m more than pleased with the outcome. The only difficulty I have had was due to a plumbing error in the installation of the wall mounted service box (supply and drain) during construction of my house - the drain is too low, and needed an anti-siphon break installed. The installation techs missed that one when they it’s were delivered, it took a couple of error codes to solve. Always pay attention to the instructions !

• We bought this washer as a replacement for a Bosch machine that we owned for 15 years. We gave it a 5 star because it has such advanced technology. We are still learning how to operate it as it has a lot of bells and whistles. We did not buy the ped. base for the machine and for that reason the control panel is a little hard to read. We like the large capacity and today we washed several small rugs that washed and spun well. We especially like the large capacity 4.5 cu ft. Worth the money!! We would have liked to get all the operating manuals in hard copy with the machine. We have ordered these from Whirlpool as they do offer them if you request via phone.
