• I got a great price on this water heater. Love the 5500w elements because the "big box stores" go with 4000w elements at this price point. Also, this water heater has a brass drain valve instead of cheaper plastic. It is RAISED higher than my previous Bradford White, which made it IMPOSSIBLE to drain regularly with the drip pan (great design feature). My plumber had to CUT the drip pan to drain the BW prior to replacement. Time will tell but for the SAME price as HD/Lowes I got this one with better elements better tank warranty for the same price! Time will tell how long this lasts but 12 year tank warranty is EXCELLENT.

• This tank replaced a 23yo GE predecessor of roughly the same size and model. It's been installed now for about 2 weeks and everything is fantastic! If I remember, I'll come back to edit this review in 5 years with how efficiently it's working.

• Seems to be made very well. Had a fairly straight forward install. Also needed to raise temperature up from factory setting and now it's just like what we are used to.

• My last GE water heater lasted almost 20 years and i only had to replace the elements a couple of times. This type of quality is hard to find anymore these days. I hope the new one will work just as fine.
