• Everyone told me to buy a Speed Queen, against my better judgment, I spent $1400 on a Speed Queen. Well, they told me the machine will fill with a full tub of water, they lied. It filled with a half tub at the most. The clothes on the top, hardly agitated down to the bottom. After the first year, the machine started leaking, we had one of their so-called authorized services come out to look at it, and he said it was the seal on the top of the transmission. He would order the pot and come back. We never heard from him again, we called Speed Queen they sent another service company out. They said the main seal was bad and they were going to change the transmission. Three weeks later, they came back to put the parts in, the machine never spun the clothes tight anymore. We were tired of waiting for them to come out. We bought the new Maytag commercial and are closed. Have never been cleaner, they come out spun almost dry and we get a full tub of water. These high end appliance stores should be ashamed of themselves of recommending such an inferior product. Maytag, all the way.

• We bought this washer a couple of months ago, and we couldn’t be happier. This thing is a beast! The cycles are super fast, very adjustable for how much water is being used, and none of the clothes are getting wrecked. I had a front loader before, and it was a pain in the butt. Old-school style all the way.!

• First of all, this washer is only a couple of weeks old, so this is not a long-term review. We purchased the washer from our local appliance store. About two hours after delivery and installation, we ran a test cycle. Everything seemed fine except for one detail: the water level was only filling to about three inches, regardless of the selected mode. This was contrary to what we were told at the store and what is stated in Maytag’s documentation. I decided to contact Maytag technical support via chat—and that was a mistake. I spent over an hour with a representative who clearly had no knowledge of this specific machine. They kept sending me YouTube videos showing how to set up a completely different washer with an entirely different control panel. The conversation ended when the representative “offered” to schedule an in-home technician visit and informed me that, if the issue was not covered under warranty, I should expect a minimum service fee of $150. This is a brand-new washer that comes with a 10-year warranty. At that point, I was extremely frustrated with the customer service. I contacted my local store, explained the situation, and asked them to pick up the washer so I could purchase a different brand. Instead, they convinced us to exchange it for another identical unit. The replacement worked perfectly. It appears the first washer was simply a lemon. So far, the replacement unit has been a very solid washer. It feels like a washing machine from the 2000s—in a good way. No fancy buttons, no screen, no Wi-Fi. It just washes. You can fill the tub with as much water as you want, it cleans well, and the cycles are fairly quick. The only minor downside so far is that the washer will not fill if the lid is open. This means you cannot add clothes while it’s filling or manually let items soak. Overall, now that the defective unit has been replaced, I am satisfied with the washer itself—though the manufacturer’s customer could be improve and be more comprehensive.

• I bought this Maytag washer a little over a month ago and so far have had no problems with it. I am very happy with my purchase. I am glad I got the commercial model and I hope that it will give me many years of service.

• I’ve only had this washer for like a month and a half but it’s done great. It’s powerful enough to do turnover. It turns to close over multiple times per cycle unlike a SQ and it’s much cheaper. I also love how quick the wash cycles are instead of hours it’s Minutes And it does a great job of cleaning. I’m just hoping to get 15 years out of it. I got 33 years out of my last May tag. I had that quit just hope this one’s built the last as long as the other one. But with the 10/5… 10 year warranty on motor & drum(stuff that usually never breaks). & a 5!year warranty on parts & labor! Most other manufacturers in give a 1 year warranty. So hopefully they designed this unit to last cause it was not a cheap investment. It was either the Maytag commercial or the SQ I really wanted the SQ but I could not swing the price. I got the Maytag commercial washer for 856 out the door versus $1500 for an SQ… but besides from a few little niggles, it’s a great washer. Definitely recommend to buy!

• After going through 3 Samsung sets from Costco in one year, my research on washers pointed me towards this Maytag. Best machine I've owned. It doesn't take 2 hours to wash a load. It doesn't go off balance constantly. It doesn't require 3 washes just to get grass stains out. And, as a bonus, it doesn't lock the lid until spin so if you forget a sock or towel, you can open the lid and toss it right in! There's no delay for it to start washing again either. It's an old school inspired washer that simply does what it was meant to do. Would definitely recommend

• Fantastic washer, I bought it after a 5 year old Speed Queen finally bit the dust. I wash 7-8 loads a day (animal shelter) and after 5 months it's been doing well. Plenty of load capacity too. Would definitely recommend

• Bought this after my Maytag commercial washer quit. Found out it was 25 years old. It was sold with the house I bought 8 years ago and never had a problem with it. Decided to go with another Maytag commercial washer and dryer without too many electronics as that is usually where the problems start. It has a pre soak feature that the old one didn’t have. Love the agitator. It is bigger than my old one so I can fit more laundry in it despite the size description being smaller than other selling washers. It has a deep fill and different cycles for the type of laundry I’m putting in. Instructions are easy to understand and operate.

• We bought a Maytag commercial washer and dryer two months ago. We have always owned Maytag washers and dryers, this is our third set we’ve owned. We like the large stainless steel drum and that you can manually set the water level. We would recommend the commercial model.

• I am very pleased with my new Maytag washer. The machine does a great job with the load capacity, feautures for load size and water levels are exceptional but most of all I love the way the washer spins the clothes dry that my drying time is reduced!!!

• We have been very pleased with our Maytag washer. It is one of the only ones we've found of a commercial quality and which has a 5-year warranty. To be clear, however, we had a number of repairs of parts that were previously made of metal and are now being made of plastic (planned obsolescence?) So far we've had no issues. time. We shall see.

• Love it ! I love the big size and quietness of it. Installation process was very smooth. My old Maytag washer lasted 20 years. It's been a good brand for me. Also has straight forward operation.
