This washing machine does not fill up with enough water but my main problem is that it is loudest washing machine that I have owned. My neighbors, both, up and downstairs can hear my machine when it's washing. I will call the service man out this week to check to see if it has a problem. The whole tub seems to be just wobbling in there. Up on delivery it add water in the fabric softening and the drain compartment .There was lots of in the drainage, so much that installer has to drain it again before attaching the hose.. The nice customer service lady told me that they must have forgot to drain it completely when they test it after manufacturing.

I purchased this as a convenience to tenants in one of my rental properties that had little space. It fit nicely into a closet. Feedback from the guests is they love it. I emphasized they are contractually bound to reading the instruction manual before operating it, that although the instruction manual states comforters can be used in the unit, I require they take large items of that nature that might place additional stress on the unit to a launderette, and that furthermore only the tenants may operate the system and for their own clothes. Feedback has been awesome - it helped rent my house much easier than normal, plus Whirlpool is the only manufacturer of these I have confidence in.

We bought about a month ago. We had roughly the same laundry center that had aged out and had to be replaced. We wanted to stick with Whirlpool because of our positive experience with several appliances still in our home. What we Do Not Like is the Dryer and the obnoxious sound it makes. It is extremely loud, louder than the 12 year old that we had to replace. If I could keep the washer and return the dryer, I would. I am so disappointed that we couldn't find this unit in stock anywhere so we waited on this unit. Now that we have it I regret the hold out since we are now stuck with the loudest dryer ever!!

If only there was an option for zero stars. This is a terrible product and customer service is only worse. There is a visible gap between the lint catcher and the drum that sucks up clothes while it is drying and ruins them. Customer service has done nothing to help but continues to refer me to a maintenance tech to look at the product (a tech has already been to my apartment twice to "look" at it), which gets me no where. I wouldn't even recommend this product to worse enemy. Save yourself from the grief and go with another brand that will work, work with you, and manufacture a good product.

I purchased this a few months ago for a small older rental unit I was upgrading. It became obvious to me after a few showings the only negative was that it didn't have a washer/dryer ... something people expect these days. I had just enough space in a closet to fit a system like this in. I carefully researched different manufacturer's options but they were largely from companies whom I had formed a negative reputation over the years. Whirlpool, however, has been a brand I've found to be excellent in quality and long lasting during my 30 years of experience. I saw this model advertised...it looked interesting plus was made by a company I have confidence in. Reviewing its features I found it technologically advanced just as all my Whirlpool products have been. It's also made of good sturdy materials. I had it installed and during the final 2 showings of my property each prospective renter were ready to fill out the paperwork! Had the home been on the market a just 2 more months I would have lost more in revenue than I spent on this attractive unit. After several months I've received only great reports of how much my renters enjoy this easy to use product. Plus...it is so energy efficient it helps keep their utility Bill's low.

This product is terrible. There is a design flaw in the front that allows lint to come out of machine instead of filtering it through the vent hose. Repair man said there is no fix. Our room is constantly coated with lint and removing the front panel one can see where it is building up. We have tried working with whirlpool customer service and get no where. they say "working as designed". I would NOT recommend this machine and after dealing with customer service not sure I recommend anything by Whirlpool.

Washer and dryer work well, but there is a gap close to the lint filter that catches clothes and twists them so that they can’t tumble dry (see photo)

Space saver. The clothes come out clean and dry. I had to rely on the description and was expecting a full size washer as it stated 5.9. In looking at the washer it is deeper instead of wider. Don't think the size will be an issue at this time. I have had the machine 3 weeks and wash on weekends. There are lots of choices in settings and all work great. Time will tell. One plug(not included) for both and both work at the same time. Get the clamps for the dryer vent. Definately saves space

My wife hated the tiny laundry room in our new (to us) home. Now our stacked W&D has created free space for laundry sorting, folding, etc. It's only been a few weeks, but our laundry was really stacked up waiting for the new W&D, so it has been worked hard catching up, and has performed flawlessly!

I absolutely love my stack washer a dryer. I like that I can open the lid during washing if I need to check something. I like the many settings I have. I’m pretty short so I do have to stretch pretty good to reach the controls but that is no problem. I like the double rinse because I know the soap is removed from the clothes. This machine is no comparison to the last one I had. I like the dryer because I know how much time is left on the drying time. I love the whole machine. My next new purchase will be a Whirlpool microwave. I have one now and have had it for years and it is giving me some problems.

The washer rattles like a Gravitron at a Carnival and the dryer makes about 5 different noises depending on which part of the cycle it’s on. The broken 20 year old one I was replacing sounded less annoying then this. Menards is replacing it so I hope the next one isn’t as bad. I hate to be negative but I’m in a condo and my neighbors can hear how bad it is and complained. Please take the feedback and fix this unit because there are so many people with space constraints that need a decent & dependable stackable/ semi quiet washer/dryer.

I bought this in 2018 because I had space constraints. It has been a great washer dryer combo. My only complaint is just recently I opened the lid during the beginning of the cycle and it put the system into a shut down mode. I had to call a repair man only to find out that I had to reset it by pushing in the start/pause button for 10 seconds. I did not find this in the instructions. This is my only complaint. Otherwise, I love this machine!

My husband bought this mechine without me looking at it because I was sick and couldn’t go well great appliance but it is a full-size washer and dryer stackable well I am only 5’2 all the controls are at the top and I can just reach them the washer is so deep I can just reach the bottom to take the close out that’s with my arm all the way in as fare as I can put it .Well other then that I love the washer and dryer just take this into consideration if buying this for your short wife
Debbie05/30/2022 01:07 PM
I bought this less than a month ago.The washer is fine. The dryer doesn’t dry well. It took 90-120 minute to dry a load. I tried lessening the amount hoping that would help but it didn’t. I tried different settings on the dryer without improvement.I have contacted Lowe’s and they are going to replace it. Hopefully the new one will be much better.

Saves space. Love having a full size dryer. I was expecting a full size washer the description is a bit deceiving as it is deeper but not wider. When saving space is the goal this unit measures up. Heads up unit does not come with cord. I love the fact you can run washer and dryer at same time. Laundry comes out clean and dryer works wonderfully. So glad I bought unit. Saves space saves time. Clicks and sounds washing and dryer is a bit loud, but tolerable. IT WORKS! IT SAVES SPACE! IT SAVES TIME!

i have had this stacked w/d for a month now and am so happy with it! my old stacked unit finally quit after 20 years of service, and decided on this whirlpool to replace it. i am amazed at the difference in how much nicer my clothes turn out-stains that previously wouldn't come out have now disappeared! The technology has come such a long way from the simple fill it with water and agitate days. also i was concerned about the water levels after reading reviews, but it fills up perfectly every time with plenty of water in the tub to cover everything. some of the cycles you can choose from have a deep fill as well. great new technology! same goes for the dryer-the fluff feature at the end of the cycle means no wrinkly clothes! my old unit simply heated everything up to a maximum temperature which seemed to set in wrinkles, then cooled it down the last 5 minutes. This is a whole new ball game! I'm super happy! a few cons for me are-the unit is a bit loud, the dryer door is pretty hard to open, and i wish there was a simple low heat setting on the dryer (maybe one of the choices of settings cycles low heat and it's just not spelled out that way?) wish i had purchased this years ago rather than getting my old one fixed- had i know technology had changed and my clothes would be washed so much better i would have!

One star is too high but it won't let me go any lower. I bought this 1 week ago. The first time I used it, I noticed the handles were loose and did not turn well. I thought it just wasn't put on correctly and was going to call and have someone come out and look at it. On my third load of clothes, a few days later, I went to unload the washing machine to put the clothes in the dryer. When I opened the lid and started unloading, I noticed my shower curtain that I wash every month without issues, was twisted all around the agitator. Only a tiny piece was sticking out. I tried to pull it out and it would not come. Can't wash now until the curtain is pulled out. I called to have a repair person come out and ended up sending it back for a new one. This unit is not put together well, and looks and feels cheap. I was very disappointed as I previously had a Whirlpool washer and dryer and they were wonderful and lasted for years. This unit is horrible. Do not purchase!!

We bought this exact laundry center at Menards in 2018. Within 6 months it started rusting around the top of the washer , and a few days ago the agitator quick working. When our repairman came out and took the agitator off, the parts were all rusted out! So, after just THREE YEARS, we are now buying a new washer and dryer! Will NEVER buy anything from Whirlpool again!

On the upside, the dryer on my unit works great. Not a problem. The washer, though... I bought this unit direct from Whirlpool, and I've had it for two and a half months. Not one time have I been able to just throw some clothes in the washer and do a load. The water fills the washer tub, the sensors do their little pre-agitate thing, then the water automatically drains out and I have to start all over again. Usually takes 5 to 6 start and start over attempts to get a load done. I've deduced the issue to a variety of possible problems and solutions, and I'm not sure if I'm right about any of them. An article of clothing sometimes gets stuck under the agitator and it hangs up the machine's ability to agitate and function, or the clothes are imbalanced in the washer tub, or the load is too heavy. I either have to dislodge the hung article of clothing by digging around among the soaking wet clothes, or manually try to balance out the load by moving the wet clothes around, or I have to take out all but two or three articles of clothes so the machine will move forward in the wash cycle, then add the other articles back in. This is the most maddening processes to get a single load of laundry done. This machine literally holds me hostage and demands I deal with its issues until it finally decides to complete a wash. I wish I had read all these reviews before I bought the machine. I decided to look for the website and write my own review because it's 12:55 am, and I've been trying since 11 pm to do one load of laundry - going through the litany of trouble-shooting to try and get one done. It takes about 15-20 minutes for the machine to fill and go through its computerized pre-flight and sensing modes (what a joke), before it drains and demands that I start the process over again. I'm about to start the sixth attempt to do this load. Down to three light articles of clothing in the washing tub - reduced from six pieces. I wouldn't wish this laundry nightmare on my worst enemy. As much as these dang things cost, I can't believe they won't work properly. Please read every review here carefully. This company is so impersonal and unconcerned with the problems their customers are having with their products, the review moderator referred to an earlier reviewer's issue with their dryer as an issue with a refrigerator. Avoid this product. But more importantly, it might be wise to just avoid this company. It appears they are clueless and unconcerned on multiple levels - in both manufacturing and service. Is it wrong to spend $1,500 on a brand new machine and expect to dang thing to work? At least once?

Had this installed for my elderly parents last week and so far the dryer door has been stuck twice.

I am reposting my review; since, it was removed by Whirlpool. I added #'s 5 and 6 The stacked washer dryer does not rate any stars and only cleans clean clothes. Maytag LSE7806ACE vs. Whirlpool WETLV27FW 1. Depth Maytag 27 1/2” Depth Whirlpool 32” Depth, which is too deep. We had to use wood planks; since, my closet is about 30 1/2” deep. 2. Dryer Door Maytag : Door on the left side Whirlpool : Door on the right side Need to have reversible doors or different models for right and left sided doors. 3. Controls Maytag : controls in the middle Whirlpool : controls at the top, which are difficult to reach and see 4. Noise Maytag : less Whirlpool : more 5. Cleans clothes? Maytag : Yes Whirlpool : No. it does not get rid of dust on items; and, it leaves dust on items 6.. Damages clothes? Maytag: No Whirlpool: ripped one of my robe belts to shreds; and, ripped ties off of two nightgowns

The perfect wardrobe reset. If you hate everything you own, this does an excellent job of solving the problem by destroying everything so you have to buy all new clothes. Just don't buy anything you plan to wear more than once because it will eat those too. I have used a lot of crappy apartment washing machines, but this tops them all. Yes, even those lousy coin operated ones. It sucks everything under the agitator and rips holes in clothing on a regular basis. Oh, and I hope you aren't looking for something that actually washes clothes, because this isn't it. As an HE machine, it takes things to the extreme and tries to wash everything with as little water as possible and an excessive amount of agitation. What isn't shredded will look years old in one to two washes regardless of whether or not you line dry! I've never loaded it more than 2/3 of the way full and doing even smaller loads doesn't solve the issue because it senses how much water it "needs" to add. Clothing comes out slightly damp and often with dry spots. If your baby's outfit had spit up on it going in the wash, expect it to still be there coming out. As for the dryer, it only fully dries the items that went in already partially dry and will take 3 cycles to dry towels if you washed them on the bulky setting in the hopes of getting them wet all the way through. If you do make the mistake of purchasing this machine, I highly recommend leaving a dry towel in at all times to speed up the drying process. If you're on a budget and trying to save money, I'd look elsewhere because this will cost you plenty of money with all of the items you need to replace and it broke in less than a year after something it sucked in got caught and the drum dropped.

I bought this washer/dryer laundry center about a month ago from BestBuy,, and after about a dozen loads of all types, using HE detergent, following all instructions to a “T”, my clothes are coming out visibly less clean (no more white towels) and don’t even smell clean! Plus, it takes two hours to dry a load of any size or makeup. If you look in the Use and Care paperwork, (not available until you own the unit and it is installed) it graphically shows in almost all cycles, clean is less than 50%, (only better where gentle drops very low) but, efficiency is way beyond both. This is life under the EPA rules. Dirty clothes, and doing the wash takes all day! I wish someone would tell me I have a defective unit, and could get a replacement, but they show the generally poor cleaning performance in their instructions. To add insult to injury, the specs show and end of cycle signal which does not exist.
Unhappy customer05/26/2023 07:18 AM
Did two washes, machine stopped working, goes to wash, clicks the shuts off, and repeats this over and over. Have had 2 repair man come out and still the same problem, they wont replace the unit either so i am stuck with a $1400 piece of metal.
