  • Worst ever experience with whirlpool, installed a new whirlpool dyer through my new builder, which doesn’t work at all. I called whirlpool, on 8/10/24 said they will send a a technician, who came 8/26/24 with a new part which doesn’t work, he ordered another part came on 9/13/24, still doesn’t work, the technician said he still couldn’t figure it out and will order another part. Called whirlpool to replace it, they refused to replace it, being told to wait until it get fixed. I am still waiting to get it fixed for almost 2 month now. This is beyond frustrating.

  • I bought this machine last month to replace my old Whirlpool that is over 18 years old and have used it 4-5 times a week. No problems and I didn't expect any. My old Whirlpool dryer took over an hour to dry clothes and sometimes had to do another hour but it was 18 years old and not worth repairing as the repair is almost as much as a new basic dryer, I will continue purchasing Whirlpool appliances. This specific model doesn't have all the bells and whistles and is not "smart" but those are things I do not want. Just more to break in my opinion.

  • We really needed a new dryer and didn’t have the extra money for all of the bells and whistles however, this pairs perfectly with our Whirlpool washer we bought 2 years ago! We only buy Whirlpool. I wish we would have gotten the steam setting, but I love my new machine. It gives me extra time to get my clothes out without wrinkling.

  • First unit bought from Costco was dented at bottom front and made a thumping noise each revolution, but replacement unit is functioning well. First installers improperly connected wiring as 3-wire instead of our 4-wire system, but I found 2A of current on ground and corrected wiring. Simple to use, normally use the Automatic drying sensors to control when to turn off. Just need to fine tune the best start setting for more or less dry. Not sure what differences in maximum temperature is reached for Low-Med-High temp settings and how that corresponds to type of materials being dried.

  • I just wanted basic model, no computerized anything to go haywire. Love that it has no bells and whistles.Last washer and dryer was a Maytag lasted over 20 years. The workmanship on outer construction looks like it was just glued together at the top. The seams are not flush, but the dryer works.

  • I BOUGTH THIS AROUND 6 MONTHS AGO I LOVE IT BUT LIKE 3 MONTHS LATER IT STARTED PEELING FROM THE DRUMER I WILL CONTACT THE SELLER AS SOON I GET BETTER RIGH NOW IM SICK THATS THE REASON HAVEN'T CONTACT THEM

  • My old dryer finally died. I went with Whirlpool because it is my understanding it's American made hopefully from primarily American derived parts. It is simple and performs. I do feel like I got jagged around a bit by the retailer, club pricing enrollment and gift card promo that ended up jacking the cost up $100 and I can't use those to pay on the bill. Boo hiss to all of that but I digress! I have to say, I guess from regulations, the hot setting is not as hot as my old one. I preferred the hotter temp for bedding and towels, but overall simple and nice dryer. I plan to look at a simple Whirlpool clothes washer if the time comes.

  • Great dryer. Clothes dry and wrinkle free. Easy and simple types of settings has a tone sound to announce clothes are done.

  • I bought this swirl pull washer and dryer about a month ago period I am so impressed with the non agitator washer so much space and my clothes are so much cleaner than when I had the older unit with an agitator period I love the settings and all the options for any size load- auto sensor for water levels is awesome!!!

  • We got this dryer about a month ago and are happy with it. Dries the clothes faster than our old dryer. We do not like the way the door opens down and is always in the way in our hallway and awkward to work around. The old style was better because it opened to the side and didn’t stick out.

  • Bought this for the remodel I am doing on my house at the end of November so we would have it for Christmas when we moved in. The guys that brought it out hooked it up and ran to make sure it worked but it had a bad smell everyone thought it was just because it was new. Everytime we did a load of clothes it would stink until last Friday when I got home and was informed that the dryer was not working, I pulled it out from the wall and noticed the plug was melted and got a meter and it was still energized, the breaker had not tripped. I went to the breaker box and discovered the breaker was melted and would not trip. I have pulled a new circuit and added new breaker and receptacle. The dryer is not working so I need to get someone out to check it out but can't get through on the phone it keeps having you to push buttons for different options then hangs up on you. I have went to Home Depot for them to help and it does the same thing with them, that is why I am trying this to see if I can get help.

  • We purchased this Whirlpool dryer 3 weeks ago to replace a 13 year old Kenmore dryer that was on it's way out and not working. We purchased this dryer as part of a pair/combination set. We like the 7 c.f. drum size, the controls are easy to use and the options are more than enough for our needs. We wanted control knobs not push buttons for selections. So far this dryer is performing perfectly, it dries clothes quickly and efficiently.

  • I bought this dryer a few weeks ago and am very happy with the purchase. It a larger dryer than I’ve had before ehich is very valuable as well as the drop down door and de-wrinkling feature. I’ve owned many major appliance brands and have most always bought whirlpool after the tip from an appliance repair company. I would highly recommend this appliance, counting on many years of solid use.

  • Been using this dryer about a month now and it works great! I had the same or similar model Whirlpool dryer for the past 19 years before it quit running. Instead of wasting money on Service Repairs on such an old dryer. I decided to just purchase a new one because it was such a great price! Purchasing it through Costco was awesome! They hauled away my old dryer and installed the new dryer!

    Monalisa06503/18/2026 11:34 PM

  • I know this is a review for the dryer, however, purchased the combo washer & dryer after almost 20 years of use. I took good care of it and it performed well. Had to replace a couple small parts in that 20 year period (DIY kinda guy) nice and easy repair-ability. So when my washer drive motor stopped working knew it was probably time to upgrade and WOW glad I did. New dryer works flawlessly. Most importantly my wife LOVE'S her new Whirlpool DRYER & washer combo. When the washer stopped working I was able to get it on a Labor Day sale. Can't beat that - Great Whirlpool appliance at a great price.

  • I like my simple, basic dryer. I also love the drop down door versus a side swing open style. The drop door helps avoid clothes falling in the floor while transferring from the washer. Another feature I like is that the dryer interior lights up when I open the door. I use the tops of my washer and dryer for folding clothes at the end of the cycle. Nice dryer for a reasonable price.

    Brandice06/27/2025 12:12 AM

  • The dryer works well enough but about a month after its delivery and hookup I was looking over the top of it to see behind it because I was checking if any clothes had fallen over and I noticed the back metal panel was bent and a gap existed between the panel and the actual dryer. The ones who delivered it and hooked it up never pointed it out to me that there was damage.

    Eric12/31/2025 11:44 AM

  • I’m disappointed with Whirlpool customer care. When our dryer was delivered by JB Hunt they discovered that there were dents on both sides of the console. I was informed that they documented the damage and would turn it in. I waited a week then called customer care only to wait 45 minutes on the phone and never did get to talk with anyone. How do I get this resolved?

  • With two adult men washing work clothes and a lot of jeans we needed a larger capacity dryer. This Whirlpool dryer has met our needs wonderfully. Since this isn't the largest capacity dryer on the market I wasn't sure if it would hold all those clothes but it has more than met my expectations. I really like that it will tumble the clothes every few minutes to prevent wrinkles from setting in. I have to iron a lot less now. I also appreciate the way the door opens to catch clothes before they can fall on the floor. And, I did not have to pay for a bunch of settings that I would never use. Love everything about this dryer!

    Julaed01/29/2019 02:06 PM

  • The dryer itself is very nice. The knobs, however had to be replaced because they didn’t match the color of the knobs of the matching washer. I preferred the color of the knobs it came with but whirlpool was very insistent that their knobs were all the same color. I had to turn to Home Depot to order the knobs.

  • This dryer does a good job drying, but my complaint is with the door. We bought it because it has a very short door that hinges on the bottom so it comes out in front of the dryer. However, even though it is a shortened door, which made me think it would be easier to unload, it makes it very difficult to reach all the way in and get out the clothes. I need a rake or a stick to reach all the way in because I cannot get close enough! If you are elderly, as we are, I recommend getting a door that hinges on the side and opens all the way so you can step right up to the dryer drum and reach inside.

  • Worked great for almost a year. Now the door won’t stay closed. I am still within my warranty window but the “only” repairperson in the whole southeastern portion of Minnesota doesn’t show up when he’s scheduled nor does he answer or return calls. Customer service doesn’t seem to care much as they tell me to just keep calling him or to call them back and they reschedule another day (9am-4pm window) with the same repairman. I wish I sat around all day with my feet up eating bon bons just waiting for this repairperson to show up but alas, I have a job I actually go to and other adult responsibilities. Very unsatisfied.

  • I've only used it twice thus far and it ran smoothly and was comparable to the timed dry time of previous dryers I've owned. It is a little louder than previous dryer but its not bothersome. I do love the front "swing down" door opening much more than a side open.

    Jan5201/23/2025 05:22 AM

  • So far I’ve had this dryer for a week and it’s working with no problems. Drying time is good and it’s not too noisy when in operation. I like the fact that the dials are simple and not complicated with fancy too many settings.
