• Glad that we purchased this drier! It was hard to let go of our 20+ year old Kenmore drier, what a workhorse! However after finding an internal gas leak, found it best to replace. We also purchased the Whirlpool matching washer and both of these purchases have proven to be great choices (so far). We researched many makes, and felt confident in choosing the Whirlpool brand. This drier is simple to use, has a large capacity, and dries the clothes well - also quiet in operation. We would definitely recommend this drier!

• I bought this dryer after our old Dryer stopped working. I wanted something wash to use. It’s just me in the house and this was my first big appliance purchase after my husband passed away in 2016. I wasn’t sure what to do or what to buy. I did some research and remembered my husband liked the Whirlpool brand. I found what I was looking for and made my purchase at Best Buy. The installation was easy foe the technicians and they showed me how simple it was to use. I have to say I live my new dryer and I am always telling my family and friends how much I love this appliance. Hopefully in the near future I can get the matching washing machine!

• I bought this a month the ago as I needed to replace a 25 uear old Kenmore. This is a great trading (mechanical vs electronic) control panel. I live the functions that allow me to easily control temperature and drying cycle. The anti wrinkle timer works well. Once the dryness level is achieved, the dryer runs for minutes, stops, then starts a gain a few mins later. This way the laundry doesn't just sit. Love this function. I am happy with my purchase and glad I bought it. I recommend this also because the door (hamper style means it folds dpwn into a shelf rather than swing to the side) is much shorter than the sideways door styles and fits better i my small laundry room. Only Whirlpool seems to male that door style.

• Great machine easy to install. Sets your clothes wonderful and fluffy and fat with the 14 cycles . Looks sleek and nice easy dials to understand. Buzzer when done is loud so you know when. Clothes are finished drying. Would recommend to anyone who needs a nice dryer that doesn’t break the bank.

• I’ve had this design and model of Whirlpool (Kenmore) dryer in some form for the past 30 years. The parts and design haven’t changed in all that time. When I replaced my last Kenmore with this identical model, I could tell the craftsmanship I was accustomed to was lacking. There was a spare screw lying in the bottom of the box. The instrument panel was cracked open on the right hand side. When I attempted to install the leveling feet on the bottom, the factory holes were so sharp and poorly formed that they tore up the plastic feet and tore up the threads on the feet. I had to remove the feet from my old dryer and use them since they were better made. I was willing to overlook the aesthetics and the quality of it but once I hooked up the dryer and turned it on, it was more noisy than the 15 year old unit I replaced it with. I ended up calling Whirlpool and instead of replacing the unit, they arranged a local appliance repair company to come to the home to repair it. They ended up having to replace the motor, the blower, the blower fan, and the right side instrument panel! While the repairman was here, he indicated that the blower fan was cross threaded from the factory and he had to physically break it apart to remove it. Also, when he removed the heat vent that contains the lint trap, there was debris collected in the bottom that appeared to be seed pods and some kind of wood chips (possibly from some sort of animal activity?). The debris could have easily caught on fire when the dryer became hot. Thankfully I hadn’t really used the dryer due to the noise and my mistrust that there was something wrong with it. I’ve owned and repaired this model dryer myself for decades. I’ve always had complete confidence in its craftsmanship until now. The dryer handle is now cheap plastic, there was a glue material on the inside of the door, and the lint trap is cheaper and catches every time you remove it. I have no confidence that this dryer will last as long as my others and feel the company should have given me a free extended warranty since they did not replace this obviously defective one. Sadly, this will be my last Whirlpool (previously Kenmore) dryer. I gave it 2 stars due to nostalgia for my previous units. The design of the internal parts is still well done and easy to repair yourself. The quality gets a zero from me.

• Dryer drum cracked within 2 months of use! Under warranty so they’re replacing the drum, but I don’t want a drum, I want a dryer that doesn’t break!

• I bought this from Home Depot and waited 3 weeks to get this delivered to my home. This unit replaced a Whirlpool dryer that I had for 30 YEARS. Looked great once delivered, made the connection to the gas line and powered it up. My wife put a bathroom floor mat in to test out and worked great for 15 min until I heard this gut wrenching noise. Contacted Home Depot and they told my that I could not get a replacement because it was beyond the 48 hour return window but Whirlpool did offer me a replacement or refund the next day. Very disappointed in the product quality and will not purchase whirlpool appliances every again. See attached image and video of the noise.

• I bought this dryer about 2 months ago when the old dryer went out. This is hands down one of the best dryers I have ever used. It’s on par with the laundromat dryers except you don’t have to put any quarters in it lbvs. Everything only takes one cycle to finish drying. Gonna make sure we take extra care of this one.

• Great dryer!!! It’s quiet and dries quickly. Easy to load, I’m not quite sure I’ll get the door that swings down again, hard to get clothes out.

• We needed a new dryer and didn’t want to invest so much money as it is during the holiday season. It is ok..takes some getting used to. I feel like it doesn’t get everything dry when it’s a large load. I need to add extra time for my king size sheets as well. I do like the light as our old school dryer didn’t have one. The door latch needs to be reconfigured as clothes, towels and basically anything get stuck so I have to be very careful to place items in the dryer carefully. Again, it’s a dryer and does its job. Just need to get used to the fact that things aren’t made the way they used to anymore and that’s with any appliance.

• I bought this a month ago. I can dry clothes ONE TIME, the dryer never started again… I called the store where I bought it…. It took another week to have a dryer working… it’s frustrating to have to make calls and wait, wait for the problem to be resolved… on a new product!

• We had the Dryer installed 3 weeks ago, and the igniter for the gas failed to work and we have not gotten Best Buy to service the machine because of scheduling problems. They should be out tomorrow but that is after a problem with today. I called as I should and had service scheduled for today, but that did not happen. After spending over an hour on the phone on Tuesday. So I spent another half hour on the phone yesterday so that we could get service on Friday. This is really a big disapointment since our other Whirlpool Gas Dryer worked for over 18 years with minor repairs and actually still worked when we bought the new set of Washer and Dryer.

• Bought this a week ago from Home Depot. We installed it ourselves and it took an entire day because Home Depot could not seem to give us the right connection kit. Finally got it hooked up and it is working fine. However, the pictures on the Quick Start guide are NOT pictures of this dryer! When I checked the Whirlpool website I found that this model has been discontinued!!!! Not happy about that, since no one had the decency to tell us upfront. It does not continuously turn after the cycle is finished -- it stops and then restarts, supposedly to keep the clothes from wrinkling. Not such a good idea.

• Got this dryer at a discount with a rebate. We were replacing a 22 year old Maytag that gave us great service. I have been in the steel industry for over 32 years and have worked with different Whirlpool plants as part of that. They are sticklers are quality and service about their raw materials, processing and their final products. Buying American made quality is important to me. Having insight to how their products are made helped me make the decision to purchase this Whirlpool appliance. There are a lot of choices out there. I did a lot of research and made the right choice for our family.

• This basic dryer suits my lifestyle and offers the features I consider important: the cool down and wrinkle guard. I especially like the intermittent activation of the wrinkle guard rather than continuous tumbling. Also, the machine runs quiet.

• I bought this dyer gas, Last May 2024 very good. Before we tried 1-2 times not dyer good lots but limited only not very wet. It was okay now when we try our family members, no more dyer need. It was okay now.

• Happy with this Whirlpool 7cu ft Gas Dryer with AutoDry Drying System. It has most of the features we need. The timed dry minimum setting is 20 minutes which I would prefer to have option for lower setting.

• Ordered from a local dealer. Delivery delayed. Cancelled. Ordered similar Kenmore from Sears. Arrived damaged and installers didn't know how to install. Called Lowe's for 2 days - no one answered. Called Best Buy. Order taken, continuous notices about delivery (5 days), delivered and installed. I love the dryer! Just like my old 32 year old Kenmore in features. Wanted basic and got basic. Love screen on top and door opening top to bottom. Does the job simply and efficiently. Didn't want "new and fabulous" features some have. This is perfect. The lint screen is better than the old one. All else similar, and that is perfect. Recommend highly, along with Best Buy's service.

• I bought this dryer a month ago and have had to have an appliance specialist over several times due to problems with the whirlpool conversion kit (nat gas to propane) The first time he came he came to do the conversion. We ordered the Whirlpool conversion kit from Home Depot. However the kit did not include the right parts. The blocking pin was too small and would thread into opening it was supposed too. Appliance guy said he had to do some research. Several days later he called to say he found another blocking pin that would fit. He came over 3 days ago to install it and it fit just right. Bad enough I had to pay $100 the first time for conversion but having to pay another $80 the second time is just wrong.
