  • The JB Hunt team was difficult to work with. They showed up 2 hours before the delivery window and were rude about it. They also only had one person so they could not bring the dryer in. Initially I placed on a pedestal that I had. After a couple days I built a customer pedestal in the wash areas. When I did I realized that that the front left bottom corner and upper top left edge were damaged. The bottom corner is particularly a problem because it makes is very hard to level and creates a gap between the washer and dryer. I had to put matts under the feet forthe bottom left corner to get it to leave due to the deflection.

  • Washer doe not clean or spin well, matching dryer only dries completely on Timed setting and never dries sheets properly. Turns them into burritos 🌯

    Suzy12/09/2024 06:31 AM

  • Bought my dryer with matching washer about a month ago. With my large family makes laundry day a lot easier with the larger capacity. My last washer and dryer was also a Whirlpool. Will not by another brand. Love Whirlpool!!!

  • We got this dryer along with several other appliances installed by Whirlpool through our purchase of a new construction. It's been installed and in use for about three weeks, and I honestly dread turning it on every time. IT'S SO LOUD. Something has to be wrong with it but I'm waiting for the company to get back about my service request. If we have company over and I run it, I'm met with concerned looks and "Oh my gosh, is it supposed to do that??" My cats dive under the couch. A pit opens in my stomach every time I hold that stupid button and watch the little count down 3...2...1 BLLAAAAAMMMMMMM. Nonstop for an hour. Hopefully Whirlpool will fix it.

    Not Too Great05/13/2024 02:06 AM

  • Our dryer is new but we've been disappointed. The dryer dries, but not quickly and not thoroughly. For example, towels are difficult to dry, even at the proper setting. The bigger problem for us, though, is a flawed plastic piece that has torn brand new bed sheets. The service person ordered a part that is supposed to be installed in the next few days.

  • I bought my dryer in September. Already I’ve had a technician come to repair the dryer TWICE. The 1st time the panel would make a weird noise and had moisture inside of it. The 2nd time the panel just stopped working altogether. Well today the dryer has been on for 2 hours so when we went to check on it, turns out none of the buttons will work and neither will the panel. This is getting ridiculous. At this point I hope Whirlpool will just replace my entire dryer when we contact them tomorrow morning.

  • I recently moved into a new apartment complex that just opened. My apartment was furnished with this specific dryer. It dries clothes fine but it's extremely noisy. I have a small closet that the stacked washer and dryer are in but even with the door closed it's difficult to stay in the apartment when the dryer is running. I've tired to diagnose the problem. When I rotate the drum manually it seems quite enough. However, when the drum spins automatically, during the dry cycle, it's much louder. This suggest the noise is coming from the drive system and not from the drum itself. I checked the specifications, hoping to find the sound level specification for this dryer but Whirlpool does not disclose this information.

  • Expensive box of metal. Stopped working after only owning for 16 months. The buttons no longer work and it doesn't turn back on. Error F6 E2 which is probably the control board. Probably another $500 to fix. Conveniently for the mftr the dryer is not longer under warranty. I bought a Whirlpool thinking I was buying quality yet now I am out $1000 until I can find an affordable way to fix it. I could have spent way less drying my clothes for $1000 plus PARTS at my local laundromat. In 25 years I have had a different brand that NEVER went out and I should have just stuck with what I knew. Buyer beware.

  • We purchased this dryer recently. Immediately we discovered that it did not dry the clothes. I called the dealer we bought it from and he suggested to wipe the sensors inside the dryer with isopropyl alcohol, perhaps they were clogged. We had only had it two weeks. Nevertheless, we did that. It still does not dry. The LED monitor will show 1.30 minutes for a Regular load for example, the dryer finishes in 50 minutes, and the clothes are still damp. So we put it on Timed Dry and it dries it then. For the price of this dryer, and having to consistently use Timed Dry, we regret purchasing this model. Not to mention it is extraordinarily loud as it dries.

  • I bought this and accompanying washer to replace a Maytag stacked unit that I loved. The dryer is LOUD. After running about 10 minutes it quiets down. I think the noise is because the sheet metal is rattling until it warms up and expands. I haven't been able to correct this. The biggest disappointment is that it doesn't dry anything on the first cycle. I've used it for months and have yet to find a dry pair of jeans after the first cycle. Running two or more cycles is standard at my house. In an effort to offer more features, I feel Whirlpool overcomplicated things. There are 6 What to Dry options, and 6 How to Dry options. All you need is Time and Temperature.

  • I’ve had this dryer about a month now and it’s very easy to use, quiet, and holds anything I could ever imagine needing to dry , but often things get wrapped in the middle of the bundle and won’t be dry so I’ll have to re sort and keep drying . It looks great and frees up space by being stacked in our smallish laundry room and that’s the main reason we went to front loaders for our reno but I’m starting to Miss my old “inefficient “ Machines . Dried everything in 30 min or less and things were actually all dry .

    AlwaysWashing103/22/2019 07:36 AM

  • The dryer came with the new condo we bought. I did not pick it out. It is a good dryer and dries my clothes well. The buttons on it make it easy to pick what kind of drying I need and how much time, how much dampness etc. My only issue with it is it’s too low to the ground. I wish it was about 12 inches taller. I can’t even get a laundry basket under the door without opening the door all the way, then placing the basket next to it. I’m only 5’6” and I feel it’s too low. I can’t imagine how someone who is six feet or more likes it. I feel like now I have to spend about $500 to get a pedestal for my washer and dryer. If I had my choice I wouldn’t have bought this particular dryer.

  • Our old Whirlpool dryer died abruptly so we had to purchase a new one quickly. We liked our old dryer very much and expected the new one to be as equally good but unfortunately, it is substandard. The counting down 3-2-1 to start tue dryer is annoying as heck and when it starts it jolts and makes a terrible sound. The drum is bigger than our old dryer but all our clothes AND ESPECIALLY the sheets get bunched up together. I will dry 1 set of sheets on the normal cycle and when it is done one sheet is bunched up inside the other, damp and extremely wrinkled. It appears cheaply manufactured so I don’t see it lasting very long. Definitely not worth $1400.

    troublet01/28/2023 05:50 PM

  • New construction home, had whirlpool appliances installed including this dryer. It has an extremely loud dryer tumble ambient noise, sounds like sheet metal grinding against each other. The dryer sense technology is terrible. I always have to put dryer setting to Timed Dry because any other setting will not completely dry my clothes. It’s got potential, but has some rough edges.

    Caleb05/03/2024 03:52 AM

  • Dryer won't dry except on one setting. Venting is round straight metal dryer venting. Previous Whirlpool dried effortlessly until it broke down after 15 years. The dryer end of cycle alert tone is too low to be heard at highest volume setting. My wife and I have to keep running back to the dryer, clean the lint out of lint screen and run same laundry through more cycles. We wanted to get a washer soon but if this isn't working out with the dryer, we will have to look for a different manufacturer. SUGGESTION: COULDN'T WHIRLPOOL AND A $12 BLUETOOTH MODULE TO THE END OF CYCLE SIGNAL WHICH ALERTS ALSO ON THE PHONE.

  • I bought this dryer in March of 2022 and in October of 2023 the problems started and have not stopped. We have replaced 4 parts, some easy DIY and some that had to had to be repaired by a tech. With a new part, it works for ~ a week and then something else goes wrong. I feel like there is a bigger underlying issue with the control panel that is causing all these error codes and other parts to break. No one seems to be able to fix it. Between the $800 I spent on the washer and the $300+ in repairs and parts, I have spent over $1,000 for a dryer that I haven't even had for 2 years. DO NOT BUY THIS DRYER!!

    Need a dryer that works10/20/2023 02:33 AM

  • We bought this dryer a little over a month ago. It replaced a similar whirlpool dryer. We read the reviews were people said that it does not dry the clothes all the way. We thought that they must have done something wrong. Turns out they were right. The dryer has a number of settings. We use the heavy duty setting and extra dry on every load otherwise the clothes are not dry. We would not recommend this dryer.

    Mad Dog Schneider12/17/2019 01:50 AM

  • I just got a new Whirlpool Washer and Dryer in June and had to have somebody come out and repair the Dryer... what a nightmare!!!! It took forever to get somebody on the phone and then Whirlpool made us wait a week for service. When the Tech left he said he had to order parts... it been over a month!!!! We have never heard back! In the mean time I had Pedestals delivered for My Washer and Dryer... when the Dryer was pulled out - it appears that my new vent hose (the foil one) had been CRUSHED by the Tech who worked on it! This was directly done by the Whirlpool Tech.

  • I bought one of your dryers. Didn’t have it for a week. Put clothes in it it would run for 20 minutes and stop.called Kings in Madisonville KY. They sent a repairman out. He tested it and told my wife there was nothing wrong with it. needless to say my wife was mad .You never tell a woman there is nothing wrong with her dryer or stove period. The repairman left and I called Kings and they brought a new dryer out. Guess what ?i It worked like a new dryer. your repairman know very little about fixing things. They are part changers. I suspect the timer was bad. If I was a repairman I would want to know this. Also he had whirlpool on the phone telling him what he needed to do. what a joke!

  • We have only had this dryer for three weeks. So far so good We’ve always used whirlpool washers and dryers in our home. This dryer seems to be just as dependable as all our previous whirlpool products. The dryer control board is easy to use and is very intuitive - the pre-programmed settings satisfactorily dry our clothes. One thing we like about whirlpool appliances is their appearance / styling has remained constant over the years and it’s easy to replace an older model appliance with a newer model appliance and for the most part, they still look good when paired together. Thanks Whirlpool for making another dependable/affordable product.

  • I purchased this dryer recently and it's such a pleasure. It is a big difference from the other dryer of which was not very old but had broken down 5 times in as many years. the quietness and handling of big loads of towels makes me and the grandkids happy. My granddaughter commented that she sleeps better because of how quiet the dryer is. I feel and hope that this dryer will serve my family well for the next 20 years like appliances use to back in the day, I am confident because of the reputation of whirlpool products. My son commented on the design saying that he can put a basket of clothes on top of the dryer without blocking the controls.

    kwr32704/13/2020 01:22 AM

  • I've had this dryer for a year and it has some pretty significant issues. The sensor that stops the dryer when the laundry is dry just doesn't work unless you're only drying a half load of light clothing. It always leaves stuff damp. If you leave the ECO mode button on it's worse. Blankets, towels, jackets always wet. Could be fixed super easy by simply making the dryer go for another 10-15 minutes after it detects dry, but that's not an option. You have to manually set to times dry and restart every load. The buttons are also pretty finicky occasionally deciding not to work. Like you have to power on then off again to get to start registering.

  • So glad we bought this! Has worked great and been so quiet. I love the wrinkle guard setting!

  • I purchased the set a month ago and love them. They are very convenient to use.
