• I purchased a washer and dryer a couple of months ago. The delivery company came the first time and realized they don’t have the dryer. They came the second time and mentioned they have to deliver the washer without the dryer. The washer was out of the box with some small scratches on top, they mentioned they will drop it off and when the dryer comes in they will install both units at the same time today. The dryer came in and these guys did not install the washer. I have a unit out of the box sitting in the hallway.

• I bought this washer five months ago. It’s been serviced twice. The washer leaks water all over the floor. It’s eaten my clothing twice and I mean eaten them. Whirlpool will not compensate any of my clothing that has been ruined.

• Works great! Super quiet and easy to override Load and go to use other detergents. Clothes are clean dry quickly. I was looking to purchase an Electrolux originally. Glad the sales person had none in stock! Looking forward to purchasing a matching dryer!

• Things I hate about this washer, the what to do and how to button features. I hate that I have to hold the start button down for eight to do a countdown to 3 to 1. Then stare at my washer for two full minutes to be sure it actually started. I hate that the cleaner filter hose is extremely short and hard to pre-drain to finish cleaning the gunk catcher basket! I love that it holds 42 loads of laundry detergent in the loading go detergent drawer. I originally bought this washer model to apparently laugh at myself! The load and go feature I desired for the purpose of my husband washing his work clothes, because he tend to put the detergent in the wrong location 85% of the time. So nothing seemed clean to me. He’s probably use this new washer twice in eight months. My husband tends to leave cash in his pockets so I basically get a treat when I wash his clothes LOL! My current problem with this washer is that my load and go container is sitting in puddle of old stale water for some unknown reason. I’m currently struggling at removing the bottom Drawer completely out so I can bleach clean it thoroughly, and make life cleaning though filter trap a little easier since it’s located behind the pull out load and go drawer. Now I do this monthly and I still have yet to figure out how to remove the drawer completely. So it’s a consistent reach behind the drawer in a tight area drain the little black hose on a towel and pray it doesn’t go too far under the washer. I mean seriously who designed you cleaner hose and trap behind a drawer that you can’t remove so you’re forced to drain the trap on a towel and risk ruining the floors in your house?

• On Xmas Eve my washer died. I loved my Whirlpool washer & dryer that I had for 15-20 years. I tried out Goemans for the first time & was so impressed! They were able to supply me with new a Whirlpool 8620 washer & dryer and I got delivery a few days later. The washer is beautiful, has a much larger capacity than my old one and lots of features. The only issue was that I didn't receive the Use & Care Guide (explaining all the features). I couldn't find it on Whirlpool's website so I called Whirlpool and they said they would email it to me but I never received it. So I physically went back to Geomans and they gave me one from the floor model. The same applied to my dryer.

• After delivery issues with retailer, they allowed me to upgrade washer at their cost to match the model feature of dryer. I was amazed to learn that the washer has a built in auto light into machine AS DOES the dryer. Who can appreciate lights in our machines? ME!!! The one area I'm not sold on is the cycle memory where you have to manually change cycle or you are struggling to get the quickest cold cycle for darks and it doesn't seem to easy to get too. . I like being able to bend into machines and it is nicely lit. The light in the washer will turn off after a short period of time when you air it out to dry when cycle is complete.

• We have owned Whirlpool Washer and Dyer combinations for 25+ years and have always found them to be highly functional and reliable. The combination Washer/Dryer is excellent the delivery issues and quality of installation of them by JB Hunt is extremely disappointing. The washer was installed on the pedestal missing one of the pads and vibrates excessively, in addition the attaching bolts were driven in by drill at an angle. As of today the washer does not work. Unfortunately contacting either Whirlpool or JB Hunt to get it resolved is very difficult and time consuming it is unlikely that we will buy the brand again which is unfortunate as it is not product related. Update: JB Hunt's Build Specialist came out today and the shipping bolts were not removed by the original delivery team (see photos) hence the reason the washer vibrated so violently on cycle even though it was tested before leaving the site during installation.

• Was good while it lasted... unfortunately it only lasted 22 months. According to the technician... "this is a common problem with front loaders... the basket gets off the bearing slightly which then makes the bearing come off the motor. Bearing and motor now slowly being ground down and will eventually start grinding and rubbing and "burning". Ours was "dancing around" the laundry room. To no surprise... out of warranty. Cost to fix this issue was slightly under the cost to replace. Again, no shock in that regard. Typical for today's products. Hoping the new one doesn't break down after the extended warranty is up in two years.

• The washer was delivered on 4/19/24. Delivered and installed it's work ing very nice. I love the washer. It matched perfectly with my dryer I purchased few mos ago.

• We bought this washing machine a couple of years ago, and what a mistake. Out of warranty now, washing machines moves, rocks, shakes, and is always out of balance. Constant repairs, what a lemon. It's damaging my pipes in the basement because it has wedged itself up against some of my main sewer pipes, and we can't get the washing machine moved. One time we had to hire movers to get the Whirlpool washer moved back into place, only for it to move again. I can't even fill it half full of laundry. Now, I am guessing Whirlpool will do nothing to help me. We call for repair and constantly have to wait weeks for a repair person to come, only for the washing machine to move again.

• I bought this washer because mine went out and it was a decent price. I should have spent the extra money and bought a Samsung. If you look at this washer the wrong way, it throws an error code. Just need a couple of items washed? Nope. Error code. Need to wash a blanket? Heck no. 5 error codes. And don’t forget to only fill the softener tray 1/2 full because more than that and it will spit down the front. And let’s not forget that troubleshooting recommends unplugging it and plugging it back up. This washer is heavy. So you can either discover new yoga poses trying to reach the plug or throw your back out and tear up your flooring moving it. As soon as I get enough saved, I will be buying a Samsung and throwing this whirlpool in the trash where it belongs.

• We bought this washer to replace a Whirlpool washer that was having problems with its spin cycle. It has many of the features of the prior washer that we like. There is one big improvement. The prior version had controls that could be easily activated by leaning against the washer. Every time one attempted to reach something in the cabinets above the washer controls would be activated. That problem has been solved with this new model. However, the Load and Go feature on the new model has taken a giant step backward. The prior model used just the right amount of detergent - not too much and not too little. The new model uses excessive amounts of detergent.

• We bought this washer in August and after just 6 months of use it is not working. We are under manufacture warranty and also bought an extended warranty. But to get someone to come out to look at washer it took 2 weeks. They couldn't fix the problem, scheduled another service for 2 weeks out. They said they needed a part, which is taking weeks to get so here we are with 2 months of no washer with a 6 month old washer. I called Whirlpool customer service and they said there was nothing more they could do besides wait for the service techs. We are hundreds of dollars in on laundry service outside of home and hours of time wasted. I would not recommend this washer!

• This unit was purchased at Sears and I believe they sold me a returned/used washing machine although I paid for a new unit. That said, I have used the unit less than 5 times and had to call for a service technician. Parts have been ordered and far exceed the price of washing machine. Was told by Whirlpool I would receive a replacement but on a second call to them found out this is not how they plan on resolving the issues with the unit. Waiting on parts to arrive and the unit has been sitting while my laundry piles up.

• Bought a new washer and dryer set this summer to replace old ones we had. The matching dryer made it one week and died, it was a struggle working with whirlpool to get it fixed. Now 6 months later the washer has failed in a similar fashion. Error code I donated control panel failure. Same as the dryer. Seems to be a very poor design and not well built product. We get to start the warranty process tomorrow when whirlpools customer service opens. Hoping this time it doesn't take over a month before they get it fixed.

• I bought this machine just over two years ago. The control board died on the machine. We had a guy out and this is a known problem on this model. Contacted Whirlpool several times. It is beyond the 1 year warranty, so they won’t do anything to fix it. The repair guy said it would be $640 to fix it, but because of supply issues we can’t get the part. Now we have to buy a whole new machine because Whirlpool makes junk and doesn’t stand behind their products. Manufactures need to have a little more integrity and build products that last more than two years. Very disappointed.

• I bought the washer a few weeks ago. The capacity is great! You pretty much have to have the pedistals because the machine is so low to the ground. The pedistals were on back order so hopefully they will be delivered in November. Sometimes the sensor does not read or feel my finger so it can take a long time to start the wash. It took my husband and I a very long time to figure out how to turn on the Load and Go. There were no directions in the Manuel. If you change the wash setting sometimes the Load and Go turns off. So if you have to look EVERY time to make sure it is on. Not very efficient. I love the idea of Load and Go but once you turn it in, it should STAY on. Also, there is no sound when it is done as in the previous models.

• Terrible product and Whirlpool doesn’t stand behind them we made a huge mistake buying matching washer and dryer from the first day dryer didn’t work and washer has ruined several of our clothes. Now they are saying we have to wait for parts for brand new appliances. Three times the service technician has been to our home and they still haven’t been able to repair them. Whirlpool won’t replace them and we have been going to the Laundromat paying $5.00 per load to do laundry after spending $2400.00 and a washer and dryer don’t do business with Whirlpool they are using costumers to do there research and development and crap on the costumers as well. It’s time to get the better business bureau involved with this matter.

• i bought the wfw8620hc front load washer July 2019 within 3 weeks the machine froze a technician ordered a new user interface and appliance control and am waiting for the technician to return and see if he can repair the unit awful machine

• I bought this washer about three years ago and after several months began to have issues with it stopping in mid cycle. I followed the instructions to unplug the washer wait several minutes and replug it. For a short while this worked but it was frustrating. Then it stopped working and we had someone come in to repair it by replacing the mother board. This worked for another year or so and it began to act up again. Thankfully we had an extended warranty and after the service department determined it wasn't worth repairing, they replaced the unit with another identical model. As long as it works, we have no issue with the mechanics of the washer, but I strongly suggest in todays world of electronics, you purhase an extended warranty.

• Bought this washer from Lowe's in January 2020, in sept. 2020 it starts acting up and then shortly after it won't come on at all now. service comes out and says it needs a circuit board. they ordered and new board. I don't hear anything for a month and a half so I call and they say that part is on back order and don't know when it will come. So get the part number from them and I call whirlpool and they say they have plenty of those circuit boards in stock and they will send me one strait to my house and to call service back when it arrives. Meanwhile we have a brand new washer the hasn't work for two months now and we are still making payments on. when I try calling whirlpool and try to get something figured out all they say is we are sorry. I will never buy whirlpool again.

• If I could give negative stars I would. Purchased both washer and dryer- and have horrendous rattling noise that has yet to be fixed. They blame it on the mounting kit. Customer service number wait time over an hour.

• Our washer broke twice the first month we had it. It only worked for 2 of the first 4 weeks. the appliance store finally came out the second time and said if it broke again they would just replace it. The store known for its service dept took practically an entire week each time to get to our house to fix it.

• On delivery it was unpacked and there is zero visible damage, the load and go draw however does not close rendering that feature inoperable. Has to schedule a warranty fix that costs $120 and is almost a month wait.
