• The product was delivered quickly. The product manual is good. It functions as expect a water heater to function. The water heater arrived dented on the bottom and side.

• This GE GP50T12BXR01 tall 50 gal. propane water heater is replacing its similar 24 year old predecessor in our attic. It arrived in a box showing no obvious damage, but had a ~1" deep dent near the burner access door - I easily bent it back out with wood block and pry bar to allow the outer door to sit properly. Installation was very straightforward; we lifted it about 11 feet using a chain hoist to pipe fittings attached to its hot & cold nipples. While the hot, cold & gas connections were very nearly exactly in the same place as the old one, the T&P vent and drain valve were not and required some plumbing modifications. It is about 2" wider overall and and sits directly on its bottom without feet, so its outer door would interfere with our existing 2.5" deep drain pan had we not placed 1/4" thick ceramic tiles bellow it. Startup was trouble free; it only took about 70 sec. to flush the air out of the gas line and fire up the pilot and has been working flawlessly since. We are very pleased with it and anticipate many years of service.
