• I've had this machine for about a month and it's beautiful to look at but it's extremely loud. A tech came out to check it and said the noise is normal although he didn't run the machine to hear the actual noise. I do wish I would've chosen differently. It doesn't have features like the inside faucet or a spin only option. Be sure to check the options because it doesn't have many options that most newer machines have. Unfortunately, evidently I'm stuck with the machine for a while. I did get the matching dryer and I have no problems with that other than the door seems cheaply made and is very loud to open and close. My last machine was a Samsung and after this, that's what I will go back to.

• I bought this washer three weeks ago, and it washes GREAT! It has always stayed on balance. I like the ability to remove the agitator for washing queen-size bedding; the faucet to pre-rinse or add water to a cycle is convenient. The glass top lets you see if you have added too little or too much soap and decide if you want to add extra water. It's also quieter than other machines I have had. I like that it also has the 30-minute soak, a nice size Stainless Steel Wash Basket, a pre-wash setting, a deep-water wash, a quick wash cycle, and, of course, the 2 & 1 Removable Agitator,...that allows us to wash smaller or larger cycles. I'm so glad to have this new washer; with all the new functions and features, I'm sure my clothing will get the clean wash it deserves. This 3.8-3.9 Cu. Ft. Whirlpool Top Load Washer is a significant investment, and as always, we love the Whirlpool brand!

• We purchased this Whirlpool washer (WTW6157PB0), the most expensive model we could find, trusting that Whirlpool was one of the most reliable and prestigious brands. Unfortunately, in less than a year it developed a terrible musty smell. When we contacted Whirlpool for warranty service, their response was extremely disappointing. They said they do not send technicians for odor problems, told us to clean it ourselves with water and vinegar (which we had already done multiple times without success), and refused to cover this under warranty. I eventually had to take the washer apart myself – a process that took hours and is far from simple for the average homeowner. What I found under the impeller was shocking: a thick layer of lint, hair, and mold (see photos attached). This is clearly a design flaw, as water and debris get trapped in that hidden area and cannot be cleaned through normal maintenance. Mold is not just an odor problem – it’s a serious health hazard. In my home, the laundry room is in the same space as the AC return, meaning spores and smell were being distributed throughout the house via the ductwork. For a washer this expensive and from such a supposedly reputable brand, this is unacceptable. I can no longer recommend Whirlpool to anyone.

• Whirlpool Washer Ruined Our Clothes – No Help from Customer Service. I’m extremely disappointed with our Whirlpool washer. It has repeatedly damaged and stained our clothes, leaving permanent marks and ruining items that cost us thousands of dollars to replace. A washer’s basic job is to clean, but this one is doing the exact opposite. What makes it worse is Whirlpool’s complete lack of urgency in addressing the issue. We’ve contacted customer support multiple times, provided photos and detailed information, and have only received slow, unhelpful responses. There’s been no real effort to resolve the problem or take responsibility for the damage. We trusted Whirlpool’s reputation for quality, but this experience has been a nightmare. Between the financial loss, the frustration, and the lack of accountability, I will never buy another Whirlpool product again — and I’d strongly caution others to think twice before doing so.

• A great product and washer.. clean clothes and gets stains out pretty good and has all kind of different modes and things. I would say it's easy to setup and install... And it saves on your light bill too.

• This is the best washer and dryer that I’ve ever used and thank you so much Arons for helping me! You guys are very reliable and are quick to help anyone. The delivery people were very nice and sweet and helped come up with a plan to get my washer in the place it goes cause of how wide my house was. And the washer and dryer is in really good shape and I couldn’t ask for anything better! So thank you so much!

• My last two washers were front load. I have king size comforters that I wash and I really could not put that weight in them. I also started wanting a bit more water than my last washer put. I ended up buying a whirlpool which I have not owned in many years. I stuck to a few other brands. I decided to give whirlpool a chance when I saw this washer and the features. It has a 5.2cu interior tub which is big enough for my comforter. The added option of being able to take the agitator out was a big plus. I didn't have to worry about the comforter getting caught or ripped. It does have nice features of adjusting the water level, which really comes in handy if you want more water. Right now I have a king comforter washing and the whole comforter is wet and not just parts of it. Customer service was needed upon delivery and they were excellent in response. I couldn't be more pleased.

• I bought this Whirlpool washing 3 weeks ago from Home Depot and I am so very happy with this purchase. It’s big, have a removable agitator which actually prompted us to buy. It is genuinely a great feature and we did waged our blankets and bedsheets and honestly I was so impressed with the wash. Now I don’t have to take these big and bulky clothes to laundrymart. I don’t why everyone says it makes some extreme noise, we truly didn’t find anything unusual or something as annoying as some of social media videos and post suggested. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone who wants to try this removable agitator washing machine

• I really like my washer and have bee pleased with it but it hasn't even been a month and it's already making a horrible noise. I called to put in a work order because I was told that someone would be out in 2-3 days and my extended warranty said it was still under the manufacturers warranty so I have to go through Whirlpool for repairs because it sounds mechanical. Whirlpool is closed on the weekend and only works M-F 8am - 5pm so I put in an online repair and my appointment is a week away and in the meantime my washer sounds like it's falling apart and takes an hour to wash and spin a medium load of clothes.

• Just bought this machine today. I’m very disappointed, I put in a load of my family’s dirty jeans (mud, grease, oil) you know everyday farm clothes, and they came out just as dirty as when they went in, they were wrapped around the agitator, I’m on my second round of washing now, trying a smaller load, which is why I bought the 6.1 for bigger loads. Definitely like my front load washer better and the cheap plain Jane washer at our rental place better. Very disappointing!!

• The overall performance of the washer is great. truly love that I can remove the agatitor and have the option of the deep water cycle when washing large items.. my clothes are cleaner and fresher. The spin cycle is awesome no excess water left in clothes, my only dislike is the washer is loud when washing, rinsing or spinning cycle..but I can live with it

• Bought this back in February and it has broken 5 times and all Whirlpool does is send out a guy to fix it and then it breaks again and they refuse to send us a new one or refund us our money. The customer service is horrible and so is the product. I truly believe that we just got a broken washer from the beginning but the customer service after it makes me question the whole company. This is a huge company with lots of revenue that can easily afford giving us a new one but the way they have handled the whole situation is embarrassing and stressful for my parents who not only just had to deal with a death in the family but now have to demand that Whirlpool treats them like people. I never complain but after this situation it should be recorded. We just got this washer fixed on September 17th and on October 14th and surprise surprise it is broken again with the same issue. It shouldn't be this hard to get a new washer but this has been a nightmare and my mom is too sweet to complain or write a review but at this point I am done and just want to warn anyone out there that is thinking about this product...DON'T unless you want to have a headache or just throw $800 down the drain.

• Poor quality machine. Broke after about 30 loads of laundry - a month of use. On the long wait list for repair, told a month backorder for new parts ( control board) . Known failure point for these machines . There should be a recall. Already a notice out for many other models; this one should be added to list, technician told us our machine failed in the same way.

• I’ve had this washer and dryer combo for only a few days, and it’s already been a nightmare. It worked fine the first day, but on the third day, while washing a blanket, the machine stopped mid-cycle and filled with water. The lid locked, and it was stuck on “wash.” After turning it off and back on, I managed to drain the water and remove the blanket — but after that, it completely stopped working. It’s been only four days since I purchased it, and I already have to schedule a technician to come out. Very disappointing! This machine has serious sensing issues and is unreliable. I absolutely do not recommend this product. I wish I had never bought it.

• We owned a previous Whirlpool machine for 30+ years with only two minor repairs. This washing machine has direct drive transmission just like our old one did, which is a plus in our book. Looking forward to this new washing machine lasting a long time as well. Love the large capacity and with the removable agitator you can wash comforters and quilts with ease and no worries with entanglement with the agitator if removed. Machine is relatively quiet and water efficient. The only potential negative we found is that you cannot wash your liquid detergent measuring cup out into the tub as the lid is locked and the water won’t run when open. I believe the whirlpool machine one size smaller than this one does have a running faucet spicket feature that might address this. Overall love the machine and would highly recommend it to others.

• Received my new Whirlpool washer with optional agitator is so new to me! It's huge tub 5.3 has me impressed. What was a full load in my old front loader is barely covering the bottom of my new machine. I like the view with the glass top. It's easy to use with push sensor panel. The knob selector for type of load. Sensor panel to choose water temp, rinse options and water levels. It has a smart sensor that starts each load figuring out the weight of the load who knows what else. I like all my options, I like that I can see it working. Only thing I would like it to do , is for the agitator to go up and down as well as turn. Only because it seems rather gentle when I want more action on laundry that needs more scrubbing. Oh, it needs a chime to let you know the laundry is fone. Otherwise, it's quieter, works well and meets my needs.

• I bought this two and a half weeks ago. Come to find out the other night it has been leaking water from the water inlet valve since day one of the install. The whirlpool service has been awful acting like it’s not that big of a deal that it has caused thousands or dollars worth of damage.

• We bought this over a month ago and have been very happy with our purchase. Works VERY well to get the baby stains (spit up, poop, etc) out of clothes, even if they’ve been sitting for a few days. I really like how it has the soap dispenser so it automatically adds the soap at the best time. We haven’t tried out the removable agitator yet, but we’re excited to see how it goes. Overall a great purchase that we are happy with.

• I was beyond impressed with the washer dryer set, whirlpool really delivered! The washer fits my king size comforter, this is hard to find in washers. I love how easy it is to remove the Agitator for large items, you literally squeeze the handle and turn that's it. The dryer is large as well and I love the steam dry function. My clothes comes out feeling like they were freshly steamed. I'm beyond satisfied with this set.

• Seems to be a good washer. I like the sensor that helps to decide how much water to use. I have put very light loads in and very heavy loads and wayer for each load is very appropriate. I like the removable agitator. Although this machine doesn't have all the (unnecessary) bells & whistles as the other brand (which I'll never buy again) I like the more simplistic style of this washer.

• I have emailed twice and tried talking to Lowe’s where purchased 1 ye ago, circuit board out cost almost as much as a new one, had technician look at and junked because of cost! Reached out tiring to get help on circuit board i was told warranty would cover but no response from whirlpool as of three months. Model wtw6157pw0. Serial cc2801111 Might want to reconsider before purchasing And everything I bought was whirlpool for years !

• Love the fact that it’s a washing machine that I’ve always wanted. Did not disappoint. I could have gotten a smaller model than a 52 in.³ but I am not complaining. My only dilemma is trying to figure out how to stop then restart the machine when I forgotten to add an article of clothing. Other than that, I am so very happy and pleased with my 52 in.³ whirlpool washer
