• I bought a refrigerator water filter from Whirlpool.com expecting a quality product. I received an opened UPS package containing what appeared to be a new water filter. Upon opening the package I found what appears to be a poorly remanufactured product. There is some wear / damage to the filter casing, and the back cap is poorly glued on. I’ve seen this garbage before, where the case is cut or pried open and the filter materials are changed. This is not a new product, or is of poor quality at best. On top of that, it was shipped from a Ryder truck facility.

The water tastes much cleaner and fresher, and ice no longer has that odd tap-water smell. Installation was very easy and took just a couple of minutes with no leaks or issues. I also like that it’s certified to reduce many contaminants, including heavy metals and microplastics, which gives peace of mind for everyday drinking and cooking. The filter fits perfectly and works exactly as described. A bit pricier than generic filters, but the quality and taste make it worth it. I’ll definitely continue using EveryDrop.

My daughter refused to drink the filtered water. But after reading other reviews, I thought I would give the product another try. This time success! The water tastes fresh and clean, comparable to my bottled water I receive from a water delivery company. I am happy with this product - it tastes good alone, in my coffee maker, and for cooking. I hope EveryDrop maintains the quality of this product. I signed up for a subscription delivery based on how this tastes. But I will be tasting and watching...

• [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a house with a Whirlpool refrigerator that requires this filter. Before this, we had used a pitcher with a filter. These EveryDrop filters are more expensive than necessary, I think, and only last 6 months supposedly but it is nice to have unlimited filtered water so accessible. Installing the filter is a hassle, though. It requires getting down on the floor and forcing the old one out. After installation, the directions require that the filter be flushed by throwing several gallons of water out to clear the loose carbon out of the filter. At the same time, the former owners had low-water toilets installed.

• I bought 3 filters online and none of them would flow water. I thought they might be fake replacements. So I bought the exact Everydrop from ACE and it did not work either. When comparing the new one with my old one, the new one it an obvious longer filter.The design of the filter was changed at some point in time and does not fit old models. My frig. was from 2007. Whirlpool apparently could care less about people with old models since they have not helped anyone who has posted reviews.

• [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this filter because it is the factory recommended ice/water filter for my Whirlpool refrigerator. Installation is easy. By appearances and documentation on the packaging it is a quality product that provides top-level filtration. But, I cannot independently verify any of the lab results. I live in a karst limestone agricultural area with lots of manures and ag-chemicals in the region. Our well is 240 ft deep. I have a whole house sediment filter and a whole house ultraviolet filter treating the water before it reaches the refrigerator. This filter is extra protection against metals, pesticides, herbicides, etc.

• I've been buying these filters for my ice/water dispenser since day one. I keep an extra on hand so that I can replace when the moniter say to replace. My water dispenser stopped working, called my local repairman to get it fixed. He came and checked it out and said that these filters have damaged the filter housing on my refrigerator. It's a $300 repair, caused by the $50 recommended replacement filter. I couldn't see spending that on a ten year old refrigerator that the ice dispenser has never worked properly on. Don't even get me started on the dispenser issue......

• just before hurricane ida...i changed the water filter and for some reason the new filter did not work as the water just trickled and so i put the old one back in and still the water just trickles and also while putting the old one back in the cap that goes on the end of the filter to put into the slot broke and now i need this cap that goes on the end of the filter to put into the slot but can not find....so i have two problems.....the trickle as the old one worked but after putting a new filter in and the water just trickled i put the old one back in and it still trickles and the cap broke too....

• [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I figured changing the water filter was just another way to get money out of me, but after waiting a couple months passed the change filter light turning on, I went ahead and ordered a new one. Easy to replace on my fridge, push in, pull out and reversed for the instal. Took me a bit to run the 4 gallons of water through as I really wasnt prepared, but that first drink was definitely worth the effort like light and day. So many little minerals get into your water that change the taste and it happens ever so slightly until that change filter light comes on that one might not notice. Then you swap the filter for this one and you would never think water tasted so good.

• I have had to replace 3 filters in as many months. I checked water flow up to the filter and it is fine. Each time I replace the filter it works fine for about a month and suddenly stops. Usually the filters are heavier once they have served their purpose but these are not. At $50 each, this is getting a bit spendy. There has been no sediment or water clarity concers throughout the house or in my neighborhood. At the advice of the Lowes staff I placed a call to everydrop filter customer service. After being on hold for 30 minutes (not a surprise) I was greeted by a very pleasant lady who was taking my information and concerns. Suddenly the "on hold music" came back on and a recorded message informed me that my estimated time would be 95 (that's NINETY FIVE) minutes!!! I rarely write reviews but my frustration level in IMMESURABLE!!! I would welcome some kind of reply to the email address that I have provided to discuss this and gain some semblance of satisfaction acknowledging my concern and an attempt at rectifying the need to replace these filters with this frequency.

• So I wrote a bad review a while back because when you install the Everydrop Filter 3 no water comes out. It took about 3 months and 3 of them but I kept trying. And today I figured it out. But here is THE WAY TO GET IT TO WORK. When you push the new Filter 3 in don't just push it in til it clicks and stop. WHEN YOU START TO PUSH IT IN, PUSH IT IN AS FAR AS IT WILL GO EVEN IF YOU HEAR THE CLICK IGNORE IT, KEEP PUSHING, YOU'LL HEAR THE WATER FILL UP THE FILTER, THE NOISE WILL STOP, LET GO AND YOU'LL HEAR THE CLICK THAT IT LOCKED IN PLACE, AND THE FILTER 3 WILL WORK. Let me know if this works for you.

After the other filter was installed the water tasted terrible to the point I would not drink it. I had to go out and get some bottled water to last until my new EveryDrop water filters came. SO Glad I went back to EveryDrop! Water tastes wonderful, cartridges are well packaged and not broken during shipping like from the last, cheaper, supplier. From here on out I am sticking with EveryDrop water filters for my water filtering needs! These are worth every penny for the job that they do! 100% recommend these filters!

• We have been buying this filter for our Jenn air fridge and we never had any issues installing it. When we had to replace our filter and purchased a multipack so we had some in stock, we had issues installing. It appears to not be going in all the way as it isn’t popping the button out and cause of that it creates a water leak outside of our fridge. We put the old one on and have no issues. We have purchased 4 of these filters to date thinking it must be a defected filter and no luck. We have gone almost a year without filtered water cause we just don’t know what to do anymore.
