• I bought this filter as a backup to the one we had in the refrigerator. It works half of the time and makes a loud banging noise. I only used the backup filter 6 months later, and now, I can't return it. Be aware that you have only 30 days to return it, so check that it works immediately. I went online to discover that this is a common problem with the filter, so I'm surprised that Whirlpool would use these filters. I will say that I haven't had this problem in the past, but it's a gamble from here on out.

• I've been buying these for about 4 years, since I purchased a new refrigerator. Bought 2 new ones a couple of months ago to replace at the 6 mos. interval but new ones have very poor water flow and water dispenser makes a chattering sound when dispensing water. Had an appliance repair person check out he fridge and said nothing wrong with water pressure or fridge, must be bad filters. Bought a non OEM (knock off) filter to test and it works like it's supposed to again. Would like to continue to purchase Whirlpool filter but now I'm leery after spending around $100 on two filters that are worthless.

• I am on there subscription based model for filter refill. One of their subscriptions did not fill on 4/12/22. Yet they still charged me for a filter $52.99. I called custom service and was explained that im calling to late! I should have called earlier. Even though on their website the product had been labeled pending. So they proceeded to tell me no refund will be submitted and they basically stole $52.99 from me. I will NEVER EVER EVER get a whirlpool product again. They lost a good paying customer. The manager on the phone didn't seem to care and basically laughed in my face. "sorry you feel thyat way". What sad customer service for such a big company. Welp for $50 refund they lost out on future purchases. What a great business model.

• I have had about 4 of these filters and no issues until this morning. Thankfully I was in the living room and could hear it running non stop in the refrigerator and on to the floor. I am very wary of these filters now however and need to know if there is another comparable model replacement I can use that will not fall apart like this and flood a whole house while we are gone??

• This is now the third everydrop filter I get for my KitchenAid fridge which totally malfunctions. The taste of the water is kind of fishy and awful, the flow slows a lot immediately and additionally causes vibrations and an unbearable noisy in my fridge. The second time this happened I got a KitchenAid technician to come and look at the problem. He placed a bypass and this immediately made everything work normally in the fridge (except without any filtering). He asked me where I got the filter and I said I had gotten it from the Whirpool store in Amazon. He mentioned Amazon carried a lot counterfeit products and I should buy from Whirpool directly. I just did this and guess what? same crappy subpar product.

• Unfortunately I can't review this product because I couldn't USEit! I bought a new Fridge which I love. Registered it with Whirlpool and received an email from Whirlpool around same time as my alert from the fridge told me time to replace the water filter. I thought how cool and easy?!! Great!! I'll just sign up for auto refills also. The email even told me which filter I needed! Signed up waited 5 days got the filter and NOPE WRONG size! Now I have to go through hassle of trying to return it, get refund, ECT. Of course they're not open on weekends. I work all week. Pain in the neck. Just go by it at Home Depot if you can't rely on manufacturer to give you accurate info about your expensive appliance. Disappointed

• I decided to purchase my filter directly from whirlpool to mitigate the chances of receiving something inauthentic or unsafe but was shocked by what I was received. The filter arrived in a thin envelope and looked filthy and used. Given the product was purchased directly from the retailer what I received is completely unacceptable. Do not purchase from whirlpool. Try purchasing from Amazon, Lowes, or another retailer. I have no intention of using the filter I received and had to repurchase another one on Amazon. This will be my last filter purchase from the whirlpool site. Also note, they make sure to not include any sort of expiration or manufacturing date on the filters they sent out so it’s impossible to tell if what you receive had been sitting in a filthy warehouse for an indefinite amount of time.

• The last filter I purchased was defective. I placed it into the refrigerator and tried to use the water in the door. It sputtered and then slowly came out until no water came out at all. I removed the filter and put the old one back in. The water worked again. I have tried to email and call whirlpool to get a replacement of the defective filter and have not received a response. After a few years of being on the subscription for a filter, I just cancelled it instead.

• I’ve had this filter on a subscription to be auto shipped every 6 months for quite some time. The last filter I received was awful. My water tasted so bad my dog didn’t even want to drink it. It left an aftertaste for at least 10 minutes. I’ve never had that before. I ran it for a few weeks thinking it needed some time but it never got better. I ultimately had to replace with a much cheaper filter. My off brand has returned my water quality to clean, filtered, and no horrible aftertaste. I’ve cancelled my auto ship and will not be using this brand anymore. On the positive side…my off brand saves me a lot of money!

• The reason I'm only giving this one star is because I still have not received my order. The product itself is fine but I would NOT recommend ordering from this site. We ordered these on 7/7, the expected delivery was 7/10, our account was charged on 7/13 and still no filters. I have attempted to call SEVERAL times and the wait time is ridiculous. I also sent a help request through the Whirlpool site and attempted a chat which was automatically ended twice. When I was finally able to get through to someone, I was told that the filters are with a specialty department and that I would have to call another number. The wait time on the other number is equally awful (anywhere from 30 - 170 minutes). This is terrible customer service. If you need these filters for your fridge, pick them up in store or order them from some where other than this site.

• I have been using the Every Drop No. 4 for my Jenn-Aire refrigerator since we remodeled our kitchen a few years ago. The water tastes sooo good and my husband (who only drank bottled water) loves it too. I have to use spring or filtered water for my blue-point Siamese cat to keep her healthy. It filters out 23 contaminants like pesticides and some pharmaceuticals that leech into our tap water and we have pretty good tap water here in RI. I have been trying to reduce using plastic water bottles on-the-go, so I just fill a re-usable bottle with ice (which is filtered also) fill with the water from inside the fridge and we all can have great-tasting, healthy, clean water anytime.

• We purchased our Whirlpool fridge about a year and a half ago and everything worked perfectly. After our first filter change, it continued to work well. The next filter change gave us good water flow for a month or so before it was reduced to a trickle. We had ordered 2 filters that time, so I replaced it with the remaining filter. Again, we had good water flow for about a month and a half before it diminished dramatically. I understand that the filter is necessary, but they are far too expensive to replace every month and a half when they should last six months. This performance is simply unacceptable.

• I bought one of these from Walmart and replaced the filter, then the water would occassionally pulse, causing splashing and maybe some other sort of damage to a pump or something who knows. THEN, I bought a second one a month later from Amazon and installed it today only for it to be just as bad, if not worse. I have already had 240 oz of water go through. About to buy the knock off if I can because it can't be any worse than this.

• [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been using these filters for as long as we have had the refrigerator (15 years). They work great. I have given 4 stars instead of 5 for 2 reasons. The first is that I always have to get my husband to change the filters. I am a smaller woman & I am unable to get the proper leverage to unscrew the filters myself. The second reason is that I had to call for help to order this time. The newest redesign of your website was so insistent on my signing up for a subscription (which I did not want). I could not figure out how to simply order a couple of filters. It shouldn't have been so hard and I am, frankly, offended that you made it so difficult that I had to call for assistance.

• I basically use my filtered water for drinking. Since 1918 our small town always took their water straight from the mountain. Then the government stepped in 20 years ago and stopped our flow of drinking water from our mountain and made our town put in a reservoir tank. We now have a supply of water with a chemical induced storage tank in the middle of our mountain. Horrible tasting water. My new refrigerator supplies water using a filter. Thank goodness for that small perk of my new refrigerator and thanks to Everydrop for filtering my water and no thanks to government for ruining our water.

• I placed the order two weeks back . And the estimated delivery date mentioned was January 31 . Today February 09 . I tried to reach the customer care and they picked the call after 9 minutes. Then said it will take another week to delivery. If not delivered after a week reach out again. What is this Whirlpool?????

• I bought 2 filters according to the notice but they were the wrong ones. When I contacted whirlpool they stated I could return but shipping was not covered. I was suppose to receive a return label 3 days ago and still have not received it by email.

• This system sucks! I had been buying filter cartridges by the two pack (no problem with them), but I had gotten prompted by some advertisement to get another single. Well by the time I used up the prior two, the "warranty" on the single one, which was defective, had already "expired." Calling and explaining the issue was simply useless. These things are NOT cheap and they would NOT send a replacement!

• So many people have the same problem, filter lasts 30 days or less. The company knows there's a problem, but will not address it or compensate the customers with faulty filters. So poor. I tried another brand that fits and its been working over 30 days now, no problems. When you call Whirlpool as they request after posting a negative review.. they won't replace the faulty filter, so don't bother "reaching out". The positive reviews seem to be fake. I'm enjoying my full pressure with another brand filter. Good luck to everyone that continues to buy this poor expensive filter.

• I have tried two of these new filters....the first one completely flooded my kitchen. The seam at the top is poor quality and busted without me knowing it. Fortunately I was home and heard water running somewhere, only to find my entire kitchen flooded. Opened the fridge and water was spewing everything from the filter as it has basically busted at the seam at the top. Thought maybe it was defective so tried another one....same thing, however, luckily this time I caught it just as it was starting to leak. They seem fine at first, then after about 2 weeks, they collapse and start leaking. The quality is poor on these...especially for the price! Can I have the old one back? Those worked perfectly!

• Ive been using these filter for YEARS however the last 2 I’ve purchased are defective. My first filter slowed down to a tickle. I purchased a new one, it worked for about a week before going back to a trickle. I have started buying bottled water because it is painfully slow.

The location of the filter is perfect, the ease of the taking out the old filter couldn't had been any easier. Putting the new one in couldn't had been any easier either. Literally it took 15 second from start to finish. This filter is absolutely amazing. The contaminates it gets out is the best I've seen. It cleans out 32 contaminates! I like thatxit takes out micro plastics, chlorine, pesticides, heavy metals, parasites, pharmaceuticals and more. I can't think of anything it lacks. I definitely highly highly recommend!

• We have a Whirlpool French door model #WRX735SDHZ, it’s a year old. We have had nothing but problems. The water dispenser stopped working after the first month. The appliance repair guy ( 6-8 visits) proceeded to tell us there was not enough insulation to keep the water from freezing up in the dispensing line. He could not fix. On top of that when replacing our everydrop filter #4 purchased from Home Depot our unit started flooding the whole kitchen. We have wood floors!!! The seam at the top is poor quality and it is about 1/16” to short to snap into unit. We purchased 4 different filters, from different sources ( i.e. defective lots) but the Everydrop Filter were all the same. So we have a brand new $2500 refrigerator with no ice ( we live in FL) and no water dispenser. It you call Whirlpool after their 1-year warranty expires they wash their hands of you. We have a 3 year extended warranty from Lowe’s and they cannot solve the problem after multiple service calls. I have had many Whirlpool appliances over the years and will tell everyone I know to stay away!!!!!!! I need a new washer it will not be a Whirlpool!

• If you want a filter that only lasts about 3 months then buy this. My subscription was delivered toward the beginning of February 2024 and the filter was installed mid to late February. Why is it that towards the end of May 2024, the order filter light on my fridge came on? It is now mid June 2024 and the replace filter light is now on. This is the second time that this has occurred with filters ordered here. The first time it happened and I called Whirlpool to explain what was happening and the agent told me to just press the reset button on my fridge. Like, what?! I've NEVER had to order a water filter every 3 months. These filters appear to be defective! Will cancel my subscription and not be ordering again!
